    Grants and Business Development Specialist

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grants and Business Development Specialist to join our client's organization.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, developing grant proposals, and fostering partnerships with potential donors and stakeholders (regional and global).
    • This role plays a vital part in securing funds and resources to support our organization's mission and projects. 

    What you will do on the job:

    Business Development: 

    • Identify and research potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other grant-making organizations. 
    • Prepare comprehensive grant proposals, applications, budgets, and supporting documentation for submission to prospective funders, ensuring they meet all requirements and deadlines. 
    • Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather relevant information for grant proposal development and reporting requirements. 
    • Track and monitor the progress of submitted grants, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines and reporting deadlines. 
    • Prepare regular reports on grants, funding activities, and outcomes for management, board members, and stakeholders. 
    • Performs other details as may be directed by your supervisor. 

    Grants and Compliance:

    • Coordinate the accounting functions relating to grant and program management. 
    • Drive financial reporting and other administrative requirements of grants/contracts of the foundation. 
    • Monitor and track project/program budget throughout the life cycle. 
    • Lead grant audit and assurance exercise by funders and Donors. 
    • Prepare monthly burn rate analysis report/FSR, budget forecast, and variance analysis for review within the deadline. 
    • Prepare invoices/billings and follow up with HSDF contractors and Donors. 
    • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial-narrative reports of all projects/programs by Donor requirement and ensure the timely submission thereof. 
    • Update the grant database of all projects for reporting to the Director of Finance and Grants, Principals, and the Board. 
    • Consult with all stakeholders (Program Managers, Director of Finance and Grants, Finance Department team members, etc. concerning the sponsored programs as related to financial administration of grants. This includes interpreting grant requirements and donor guidelines of such grants. 
    • Manage HSDF Sub-awardees/Subrecipients/Contractors. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager from time to time

    What You will Need to have: 

    • The following requirements are requisite for this position: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CNA, or Equivalent). A master's degree is a plus. 
    • Proven experience (at least 10 years) in grant writing, business development, or fundraising within the nonprofit sector or NGOs. (Experience within the BIG 4 is an added advantage).
    • In-depth knowledge of grant funding processes, grant application development, and fundraising strategies. 
    • Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and donor prospects. 
    • Proficiency in the use of accounting software such as SAP-ERP would be an added advantage. 
    • Knowledge of general accounting and fiscal management principles. 
    • Project Accounting experience in an international environment is essential. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences. 
    • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management abilities. 
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. 
    • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and grant management software.

    Warehouse Officer

    Job Description

    • We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various activities within our warehouse to maintain efficient operations and timely deliveries.

    Duties / Responsibilities

    • Monitor day-to-day operations of chemical materials in the warehouse.
    • Work with the Finance team on monthly physical stock checks and variance analysis reports.
    • Manage the receipt of raw materials and packing materials; Goods Received Note.
    • Manage inventory and ensure safe storage of all materials without expiry or damage.
    • Ensure the FIFO (FIRST IN FIRST OUT) inventory management system is followed to achieve no expiry of raw materials and packaging materials.
    • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
    • Taking records of general stock.
    • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical checking and counts; reconciling with data storage system.
    • Maintain and manage inventories accurately.
    • Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Must have working experience of 2 to 3 years in warehouse management or supervision.
    • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies.
    • ⁠Proficient in using warehouse management systems.
    • ⁠Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
    • ⁠Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • ⁠Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback.
