    Employee Engagement & Relations Specialist

    Job Summary

    As People Operations - Employee Relations, you are required to ensure that employee records (electronic and files) are accurate and updated, manage employee exit and employee wellbeing. Vendease is looking to recruit an Employee Relations Specialist who will be responsible for bringing two target audiences together in a better relationship.The Engagement Specialist must work to understand the unique perspective of the target audience, and their wants, needs, and priorities, in order to improve their interaction with Vendease. The role typically requires the development of an engagement plan that could include activities designed to build these relationships. The role may also require service delivery, and budget or project management. They may handle billing or invoicing or even work with the team and other cross functional teams to develop employee engagement programs.

    Job Details

    • Creating and communicating policies relating to People Operations - Admin
    • Maintain an adequate and functional HRIS database for all employee information - Admin
    • Ensure staff records are regularly updated on HRIS and in staff files where applicable - Admin
    • Perform periodic staff file audits and overall Management of records/filing system - 
    • Ensure exits, suspension, new hires, redeployment and all other data changes with financial implications are adequately captured on HRIS to avoid loss of funds and payroll report is accurate 
    • Provide oversight of the separation process for exiting staff including updating their employment status on HRIS and key stakeholders are notified 
    • Track and collaborate with Performance Management to ensure prompt initiation and conclusion of confirmation processes for staff as at when due 
    • Ensure efficient coordination of vendors for employee details verification as well as follow-up to ensure response from personal and previous employer references for new hires 
    • Handle enquiries and complaints that relate to confirmation and staff records 
    • Responsible for managing all employee conflict, grievance and disciplinary issues
    • Preparation of reference letters for ex-employees 
    • Manage and process all leave applications 
    • Wellbeing: Work with the Head of People Operations to design and implement a bi-annual wellbeing calendar that focuses on all aspects of employee life
    • Help Desk: Initiate and manage a process to effectively respond to employee queries
    • Other related functions as required

    Requirements

    Vice President, People Operations

    In this role, you will: 

    • Develop and drive the overall HR strategy, ensuring it supports the organisation's values while navigating and proactively engaging with the rapid growth trajectory of the organisation to ensure a cohesive and values-driven work environment.
    • Translate organisational strategies into actionable HR initiatives, ensuring coherence and effectiveness across all people-related functions.
    • Lead organisational design efforts to optimise structure and efficiency as well as developing workforce planning strategies to anticipate future talent demands.

    Experience & Education

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and/or a combination of relevant experience and education
    • HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, etc.)
    • Minimum 12 years of progressive HR experience serving in strategically focused roles, preferably in an international/global organisation with at least 5 years in a strategic HR leader role.
    • Track record of developing strong partnerships internally and externally and using influence (rather than direct authority) to make change

    As the Vice President, Logistics, you will lead the expansion of the company’s supply chain to fuel company growth. Your focus will be on streamlining operations for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, speed and innovation. Cultivating a culture of innovation and problem-solving within the team, you will harness data analytics and AI for forecasting and risk management to ensure seamless operations as we scale.

    In this role, you will: 

    • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimise key input metrics and improve corresponding output metrics, including order accuracy, on-time delivery rates, and product quality at point of delivery.
    • Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions to optimise inventory levels and respond to market changes.
    • Streamline inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation logistics to reduce order fulfilment cycle time and improve efficiency.
    • Focus on improving inventory turns by optimising replenishment lead times and sales velocity.
    • Drive supply chain costs, budget and financial metrics to optimise for cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
    • Lead efforts to decrease return rates by improving product quality, order fulfilment accuracy, and customer service responsiveness.
    • Leverage technology and supply chain management systems to improve efficiency, visibility, and automation within the supply chain.
    • Lead and manage supply chain projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in the supply chain, developing contingency plans to ensure resilience and continuity of operations.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships to ensure favourable terms, quality service, and cost savings.
    • Utilise data analytics and AI for forecasting, demand planning, and risk management to ensure a proactive and predictive supply chain.

    Job Requirements

    Experience & Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
    • 10 - 12 years experience in Supply Chain or Logistics leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction in large scale FMCG e-commerce
