About the job

• To monitor overall activities of workers engaged in production of refractory products, such as brick, slabs, and Tundish board, Silica Ramming Mass. Will be responsible for the raw material procurement. Trains and observes workers to ensure job performance meets standards and that safety procedures are followed.
• Drafting SOPs for ceramic processing. Carrying out high temperature calcination for manufacturing refractories.
• Performing microstructural evaluation of ceramics, Assessing the effect of chemical composition, particle size and mineralogy on the final properties
• Responsible for complete P&L for refractory sales in Nigeria.
• To develop and manage refractory sales in Nigeria, to build, develop and manage the business plan and to negotiate and close agreements with large customers. Also, evaluate and develop overseas market.
• Responsible for developing the unit; Plan, project and handle improvement projects within the unit;
• Design project commercials and present it to the Management; upon approval, execute the project timely and qualitatively.
• Examines extruded clay and shale columns, cut green brick, and fired brick to detect defects and for adherence to production standards.
• To monitor the overall operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment, such as kilns, extruder, and mixing machine, to detect malfunctions
• Supports Steel Making Department units and solves process related problems within the refractory areas.
• Ensures Steel Plant production targets are met without delay from refractory side.
