    Project Manager

    Job Overview

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the implementation of the Smartcentre project at Koidu Government Hospital (KGH) in Kono District of Sierra Leone. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the project team, managing project timelines and deliverables, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of the project within the defined scope, budget, and timeline

    Roles and Responsibilities
    Project Planning and Execution:

    • Develop a detailed project plan, including objectives, tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
    • Coordinate project activities, assign tasks to team members, and ensure effective collaboration and communication.
    • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and make necessary adjustments.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Partners In Health (PIH), Koidu Government Hospital (KGH), the National Safe Blood Services, Lab Directorate of the Ministry of Health, and other project partners.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, align expectations, and ensure smooth project implementation.
    • Regularly communicate project updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.

    Resource Management:

    • Identify project resource requirements and allocate resources effectively.
    • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of project materials, equipment, and supplies.
    • Manage project budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective utilisation of resources.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project progress or outcomes
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks.
    • Proactively monitor project risks and take necessary actions to minimise their impact on project deliverables.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
    • Mentor and support team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
    • Foster effective communication and teamwork among project team members, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.

    Requirements
    Educational Qualifications:

    • At least a First Degree in either Healthcare, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized university.
    • Certification: Project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) will be desirable.

    Experience:

    • At least a 3 years experience in a Managerial role
    • Experience in managing projects within the healthcare and Blood Bank services
    • Experience in target management, financial and budgetary management, people management
    • Experience in managing Public-Private projects.

    Skills And Abilities / Personal Attributes:

    • Proficiency in using Google suite
    • Ability to analyse data and present them for decision making
    • Ability to create clear and informative presentations
    • High problem solving skill
    • Ability to work in high pressure environment
    • Top-notch organisational skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
    • High level leadership skills
    • Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Work Environment
    • It is a program site based job in Koidu, Kono District of Sierra Leone

    Reporting Structure:

    • The job title will report to Director of Operations and VP of Growth and Partnerships at LifeBank
