    Operations Officer- Military / Security Background

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Officer with a military background to oversee and manage daily operational activities within our organization.
    • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities, along with a deep understanding of operational procedures and logistical management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Direct and supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency, adherence to protocols, and optimal performance by staff.
    • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to support operational needs effectively.
    • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions to operations.
    • Coordinate logistics, including supply chain management, transportation, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Lead and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
    • Analyze operational data and metrics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Facilitate clear and effective communication between different departments and teams to ensure smooth operations and goal alignment.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing operations.
    • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or unforeseen situations, utilizing experience in crisis management.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of at least five years’ experience as an Operations Officer.
    • Familiarity with the transportation industry within the Abuja city.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred; however, equivalent experience may be considered.
    • Extensive experience in a military operational role, preferably with experience in planning, executing, and overseeing complex operations.
    • Proven leadership abilities with the capability to lead and inspire teams to achieve objectives in high-pressure environments.
    • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, plans, and strategies across diverse teams.
    • Proficiency in analyzing data and making informed decisions based on metrics and operational insights.
    • Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic operational environment.
    • Familiarity with relevant software and tools for operational planning and management is advantageous.
