    Investor Relations Manager

    Job Summary

    • As they work purposefully towards their mission, our client is on the lookout for an Investor Relations Manager to join their team in achieving its mandate of unlocking prosperity for Africans through alternative investments.
    • This talented individual will be primarily responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with investors, ensuring exceptional communication and client satisfaction.
    • Though not primarily tasked with sales, the successful candidate must be able to close sales for new clients and upsell products to existing ones.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing investors, serving as the main point of contact for enquiries and updates.
    • Regularly communicate the company's financial performance, key developments, and strategic initiatives to investors through various channels.
    • Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to address any adverse situations impacting the company's image and investor confidence.
    • Organise roadshows, conferences, and other events to attract and engage potential investors.
    • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of financial information to investors.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to provide insights to the executive team and investors.
    • Conduct benchmarking analysis to assess the company's performance against industry standards.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and reporting requirements.

    Minimum Eligibility Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field. MBA is a plus.
    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the finance industry, 5 years of which must have been in a senior client relations role serving HNIs.
    • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to client engagement.
    • Excellent learning agility demonstrated by the ability to tackle complex client relations issues, and incorporate new ideas, technologies and approaches to the business.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to communicate clearly, proactively, and interact effectively with people across various functions, executive leadership, and external professionals.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on cultivating relationships and building ambassadorial equity with clients.
    • Proven experience with ensuring compliance of regulatory requirements in a finance setting.
    • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse and interpret investment reports.
