Background

• The overall tasks and responsibilities will include using analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets using this information to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Identify patterns in data. This includes having a keen sense of pattern detection and anomaly detection.
• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Write programs and analyze large datasets to uncover answers to complex problems.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Understand healthcare business operations.
• Keep abreast of trends in Data management, analysis, and analytics.
• Communicate analytic insights to management.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

• A  University Degree - B.Sc. in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer science or any related course and post qualification work experience of at least 3 years
• At least 2-3 years of experience performing a similar function
• Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modelling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
• Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SQL, etc.
• Experience using web services: Redshift, S3, Spark, Azure Web Apps etc.
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc. will give an added advantage.
• An open mind with a willingness to learn and grow with the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge & certifications in Excel, Azure Architecture, Power BI, Data warehousing, etc. will give an advantage.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
• Excellent Reporting and data visualization skills with a strong analytical mind.
• Fair knowledge of Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) or any other reputable reporting/OLAP tools.
• SQL scripting and knowledge of BI tools – Power BI (a MUST), Tableau, etc. will give an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Azure Enterprise data warehouse architecture will give a huge advantage.
