    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Cook, who will take on the role of cooking for the Residents. As the Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring that the resident's dietary preferences and nutritional needs are met, and maintaining a high standard of food quality and presentation. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, excellent culinary skills, and a passion for delivering exquisite meals.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design customised menus based on the resident's preferences, dietary requirements, and any specified restrictions.
    • Create diverse and well-balanced meals that cater to different tastes and cuisines.
    • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to the agreed-upon schedule, ensuring timely service and adherence to dietary specifications.
    • Source high-quality, fresh ingredients and maintain an inventory of necessary supplies.
    • Demonstrate mastery in a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines, including but not limited to international, fusion, and contemporary.
    • Introduce new recipes, and cooking methods, while ensuring a harmonious blend of the residents' culinary preferences.
    • Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
    • Ensure proper storage, handling, and labelling of ingredients to prevent cross-contamination and spoilage.
    • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or repair needs.
    • Implement effective waste management strategies to minimise food waste and maximise efficiency.
    • Communicate and collaborate with the residents to understand their preferences, dietary needs, and feedback regarding the meals.
    • Work closely with the household staff to coordinate meal schedules, plan events, and manage special occasions.

    Qualifications:

    • 2–4 years proven experience working as a Cook in a reputable establishment.
    • Strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and dietary requirements.
    • Knowledge of nutrition, allergens, and food safety regulations.
    • Creativity and ability to adapt recipes to meet specific dietary needs and preferences.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents and other household staff.
    • Ability to maintain a professional demeanour, exercise discretion, and respect residents' privacy.
    • Formal culinary education or relevant certifications are preferred, but not mandatory.
