Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Sigma Consult

We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our esteemed Obstetrics & Gynecology team. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge, demonstrate proactive engagement, exhibit resourcefulness, and be an exceptional team player, thus facilitating and delivering high-quality obstetrics and gynecology services. Our comprehensive services encompass obstetrics, gynecology, specialized endometriosis treatment, reproductive endocrinology, IVF, and minimal access surgery, including gynecological laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Independently conduct benign gynecological surgeries and obstetrics procedures with proficiency, managing a caseload ranging from low to high-risk obstetrics cases throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
• Demonstrate expertise in pregnancy care, employing intelligent communication skills and interventions that may culminate in either spontaneous vaginal delivery or operative caesarean section as deemed necessary.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance and support to colleagues, and working closely with medical directors and subordinates to ensure the delivery of world-class obstetrics and gynecological healthcare services.
• Participate actively in our robust gynecology practical training program, contributing to the enhancement of existing knowledge and skills as required.
• Engage in scientific research programs, seizing excellent opportunities to contribute to ongoing research initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications:

• MBBS qualification, FWACS and/or FMCOG, MRCOG, FRCOG or equivalents.
• Current MDCN (Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria) License to practice.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
