    HR Business Partner

    Job Summary

    • The Human Resource Director (HRD) will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the people policies and activities in line with the overall business strategy, ensuring legal compliance while prioritizing a culture of understanding and engagement across the organization and promoting principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.
    • The HRD will provide professional leadership for the staff of the Human Resource (HR) department.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains required staff in the HR department, and facilitates their professional development, training, and certification
    • Oversees the daily workflow of the department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations and feedback.
    • Developing and implementing agreed departmental budget.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Must be knowledgeable about the wider business imperatives and the role of HR in delivering business strategy and results, and, at least nominally, aware of national economic issues and their impact on employment
    • Collaborates with senior leadership to ensure the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing needs, recruiting, motivation, and employee retentions are achieved in line with best practice.
    • Designs, updates and administers the policies on, among others, remuneration and benefits, discipline and termination; leave; disputes and grievance procedures; performance and talent management; productivity and recognition; occupational health and safety; as well as training and development.
    • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system or talent management system.
    • Formulates and manages the employee relations policies and practices, including work-life balance, and ensures employee communication channels are effective.
    • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices;
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, performance and talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
    • Performs other duties as required by the MD.
    • Reports directly to the HR Director dotted lines to Director of ABCS.

    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
    • Proficient with the full Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization's HR information and talent management systems.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized University is required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • At least 4 years of human resource management experience required.
    • Membership of CIPM mandatory.

    • Proven capacity for independent thought and to canvas a reasoned point of view
    • Must be willing to give account and be held accountable
