  • Our client, a regulator in the finance services sector of Nigeria is seeking to recruit candidates into some strategic vacancies in some functional areas as listed below;

    DIRECTOR, ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES

    ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
    Masters Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Public Administration or equivalent from a recognized University
    Candidate must also have a minimum of twenty (20) years cognate experience with at least 5 years in senior management position
    Management consulting experience will be a plus.
    Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office application
    Must be a member of relevant local and international Human Resources and Human Capacity development professional institutions
     
     
    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
    The successful candidate will originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
    In addition, s/he will coordinate implementation of administrative services, policies, and programmes through own departmental and other staff.
     
    BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS
    The ideal candidate must be able to deal with conflicts in an accommodating manner and provide leadership and motivation to subordinates
    S/he must be innovative in introducing monitoring systems that identify and promote productivity of the workforce
    The ideal candidate must be calm and self-controlled under any circumstance
    s/he must readily enforce systems and procedures


    DIRECTOR, FINANCE

    ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
    Candidate must possess degree in Economics, Banking & Finance, Accounting, not lower than second class lower division in a relevant discipline.
    He or she must be a qualified accountant.
    In addition, candidate must have a minimum of twenty (20) years cognate experience with at least 5 years in senior management position preferably in the financial services sector.
    Have proficiency in the use of Microsoft office application and relevant financial packages.
     
    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
    The successful candidate will improve the organisation’s accounting and financial management systems
    Oversee the preparation of financial reports, direct investment activities, and implement cash management processes
    Develop strategies and implement long term goals for the organization.
    Direct organizational budget to meet its financial goals
     
     
    BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS
    This job role requires the ability to fulfill work projects with honesty and integrity.
    Applicant must be innovative and disciplined in identifying and solving finance related problems, and communicating findings for implementation.
    The individual fulfilling this function should be thorough, methodical, reliable, self-disciplined, logical, careful and conventional in nature.
    He or she must be calm and have long term planning capabilities

     
    DIRECTOR, OFF SITE SUPERVISION

    ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
    Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Finance, Insurance, Accounting, Actuarial Science
    S/he must possess relevant professional qualification e.g. ACA, CITN, CIIN, ACCA
    In addition, candidate must have a minimum of twenty (20) years cognate experience with at least 5 years in senior management position in the financial services sector.
    Experience as a thought-leader as demonstrated through distinguished services in relevant associations, committees, etc.
    Relevant industry experience is a must, along with knowledge of outstanding global and local practices
     
     
    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
    The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the supervision through the team with respect to any regulatory tools used in dealing with issues of non-compliance, and conducting meetings held with company officials to obtain information to facilitate this.
    Candidates should have exceptional analytical and communication skills (both written and oral) and highly developed team leadership and mentoring skills
    The post holder will be accountable for contributing to the development and implementation of new or revised policy and/or legislative initiatives.
    This role involves establishing strong relationships with the most senior levels of management within the organisation, the sector’s operators and other regulators as well as working directly with the Chief Executive Officer.
     
     
    BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS
    This candidate must be focused on raising the quality and standards of all tasks undertaken
    S/he must be able to draw conclusions by probing problems, issues and contemplate the consequences
    The ideal candidate must have an innate need to get things right
    S/he must be thorough, disciplined and must be detail oriented


    DIRECTOR, AUTHORISATION AND POLICY

    ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
    Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Policy and Strategy, Insurance, Accounting, Actuarial Science
    Relevant professional qualification is essential
    Minimum of 20 years relevant post graduate experience of which at least five years should be at a senior level in the financial services sector
    Experience as a thought-leader as demonstrated through associations, committees, etc.
    Relevant industry experience is a must, along with knowledge of international policies and standards.
     
     
    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
    The successful candidate will be responsible for developing criteria for authorization of member organisations
    S/he will oversee the development of appropriate policies that will serve as the bedrock for the organisation
    S/he will oversee the development of procedures to support the developed policies and ensure enforcement of such policies
    S/he will provide coaching, mentoring and leadership for the subordinates
    S/he must possess exceptional analytical and communication skills (both written and oral) and highly developed team leadership and mentoring skills.
     
     
    BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS
    The ideal candidate must be able to maintain quality and pay significant attention to detail
    S/he must be alert to changing situations and must be adaptable in difficult circumstances


    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, LEGAL
     
    ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
    Candidate must possess LLB and BL
    An LLM or MBA will be an added advantage
    Candidate must have fifteen (15) years working experience, five of which should be in senior management position in a reputable organisation
     
    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
    The successful candidate must have expertise in legislation and judicial systems
    S/he will manage inquiries & disciplinary procedures
    S/he will manage & coordinate external Legal Service provision
    Candidates should also have relevant experience working with the board of an organisation (e.g. as a Company Secretary)
    The successful candidate will also manage relationships with Stakeholders
     
    BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS
    The ideal candidate must subscribe to strict standards of quality and accuracy
    S/he must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of dealing with colleagues with diplomacy while ensuring rules and regulations are strictly adhered to
    The ideal person should possess functional interpersonal networks across a range of industries


    DIRECTOR, INSPECTORATE
     
    ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
    Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in finance or the social sciences
    Candidates must also possess relevant professional qualification with recognised local and/or international professional bodies
    Minimum of 20 years relevant post graduate experience of which at least five years should be at a senior level in the financial services business, and/or working experience with a financial organisation.
    Exceptional analytical and communication skills (both written and oral) and highly developed team leadership and mentoring skills.
    Experience as a thought-leader as demonstrated through associations, committees, etc.
    Relevant industry experience is a must, along with knowledge of outstanding global and local practices.
     
     
    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the inspection of operators with respect to compliance requirements
    The post holder will be accountable for contributing to the development and implementation of inspection guidelines in line with international standards
    This role involves establishing strong relationships with the most senior levels of management within the organisation, the sector’s operators and other regulators as well as working directly with the Chief Executive Officer
     
     
    BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS
    The ideal candidate must be systematic and factual, and adopt a logical and intelligent approach in dealing with issues
    S/he must be diplomatic while maintaining a high standard of compliance
    S/he must be able to establish, adhere to and enforce regulations and procedures


    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES
     
    ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
    Candidate must possess a master’s degree in any of the Social Sciences or Humanities, preferably in Public/Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management, in addition to a good first degree which is not lower than second class lower division in a relevant discipline.
    Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience. Preference will be given to candidates with previous management experience in human capital development.
    Have proficiency in the use of Microsoft office application.
    Professional Membership of CIPMN or other related professional associations is a must.
     
    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Candidate must be able to provide a pragmatic support system for managing the careers of technical/professional and clerical staff within the organisation
    Develop and implement relevant HR policies and procedures, interprets and administers HR –related provisions of collective bargaining agreement
    S/he must be demonstrate knowledge and competencies to drive the HR function and value chain in collaboration with other team members
     
     
    BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS
    The candidate must develop a culture of participation and involvement, including maintaining confidence in the face of unpopular situations.
    People who are best suited for this job must be result oriented and skilled in conflict resolution.
    The ideal person for this position will be self-confident, friendly, self-starting, imaginative, factual, consistent, self-disciplined and active.
    An added advantage is positive attitude and social disposition, while a multi-tasking ability is highly required.
