    Job Description

    •     The main task of this role is to monitor the pre-fabrication, sub-assembly and erection of all structural components during onshore fabrication and assembly for alliance at the fabrication yard. Reporting to the Q-HSE Manager, the QC Structural Superintendent will ensure the required safety, quality and productivity for assigned projects is achieved in accordance with company Q-HSE guidelines, specifications, international standards and project goals and KPIs.

    The responsibilities for this roles are extensive and include but not limited to the following:
    Safety:

    •     Follow Alliance HSE policies and ensure implementation and adherence to Alliance HSE plans as required.
    •     Promptly report any injuries or incidents that happen in the yard and liaise with Alliance HSE Officer/Specialist.
    •     Proactively lead and participate in HSE activities including the promotion of Behavioural Based Safety.

    Quality/Inspections:

    •     Follow Alliance quality procedures and specifications as required for the projects
    •     Attend weekly project QC meetings and report/document any quality issues together with recommendations for both corrective and preventive actions.
    •     Ensure all records of quality issues are documented correctly and closed out in a timely manner.

    Productivity:

    •     Ensure project schedules are maintained to achieve target completion dates.
    •     Liaise with project management team when assessing impact of changes.
    •     Monitor performance and collaborate with management to improve productivity.

    Management & Communication:

    •     Ensure effective communication between and within Alliance team and QC Inspection Services team.
    •     Lead, coach and evaluate inspectors to improve both technical and reporting skill.
    •     Provide training and mentorship of national personnel.

    Requirements
    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

    •     A university degree/professional college qualification related to the oil & gas industry.
    •     Minimum of 15 years NDE technician with minimum 5 years in supervisory capacity in fabrication.
    •     CSWIP/PCN/ASNT Level III/II UT, RT, MT & PT or equivalent.
    •     International working experience and advantage.
    •     Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
    •     A good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    •     Related safety certifications, courses and training sessions attended.

    Reporting to Manager Engineering, the Senior Coordinator, Engineering Design's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    •     Lead departmental efforts in scoping and executing FEED studies as a first step in new projects and modification to existing facilities. Typical projects include gas compression, treating and conditioning, water injection facilities, offshore wellhead platform design and construction e.t.c.

    Job Description

    •     The main task of this role is to supervise and coordinate onshore Coating works for modules and other integrated facilities associated with both green and brown field oil and gas projects for offshore projects in Nigeria, such that these works are completed safely, within budget and schedule and to the required specifications.
    •     The majority of the projects will be carried out under a newly formed Alliance between Company and a relatively experienced, but fully committed, national contractor, with the associated Coating works carried out at the Alliance contractor's fabrication yard, which is currently under construction.

    Reporting to the Manager, Yard Fabrication, the responsibilities for this include but not limited to the following:

    •     Coordinate and supervise all Coating works such that these are completed safely, within budget and schedule and to the required specifications.
    •     Comply with Alliance procedures and reporting requirements.
    •     Review AFC Drawings to identify potential problems and advise design/construction to resolve the issues.
    •     Verify work progress to facilitate invoicing/payment
    •     Maintain a flexible and positive attitude, especially with regard to the working environment and highly focused safety and security procedures
    •     Ensure all permits to work are in place.
    •     Monitor overall progress against schedule, providing reporting on same to line management, highlighting the potential for slippage and propose remedial actions, signing daily reports/timesheets.
    •     Review Alliance quality plans and ensure compliance with the agreed quality plans
    •     Prepare project close out and “lessons learnt” reports.
    •     Implement Alliance HSE Plans, conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance
    •     Develop Procedures, Scope of Work, and Method Statements as may be required.
    •     Review and comment on work procedures; assess personnel and equipment for suitability for the work.
    •     Liaise with others and supervise coating materials identification and co-ordination of supply at the fabrication yard.
    •     Ensure that adequate records are maintained for all inspection and testing carried out.

    Requirements
    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

    •     Minimum of HNC in a suitable engineering discipline.
    •     Minimum 3 year of experience necessary in the offshore oil & gas industry, onshore oil refining or petrochemical industries (with the former being preferred).
    •     Extensive experience of Coating on jackets, decks and other integrated structures.
    •     A good understanding of the relevant codes and standards and testing requirements  for same is a prerequisite.
    •     A sound understanding of coating, testing and inspection.
    •     Fluent spoken and written English.
    •     Strong interpersonal skills are essential, for dealing with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles, as well as being able to fit in as a team player.
    •     A self-starter, able to plan and work at locations remote from Alliance project engineering and engineering
    •     management staff.
    •     Proven experience of supervising and coordinating the activities as part of a mulch-discipline fabrication team.
    •     Good communication and team building skills at all levels - able to lead and gain the respect of contractor and 3rd parties.

    •     Source, develop and manage subcontractors as required and monitor their work for quality and cost effectiveness.

    Requirements

    •     Time served Trade Apprenticeship.
    •     Extensive experience of current techniques and safety practices in repair and maintenance of heavy plant and equipment.
    •     Able to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment accurately with minimum downtime.
    •     Able to plan and implement repair and maintenance programmes, prepare related reports and maintain accurate records.
