    GOVERNMENT RELATIONS ROLES

    CHIEF GOVERNMENT RELATIONS OFFICER (DC-GR)

    Objective:
    To define the organisation’s Government Relations strategy and plan as well as ensure statutory compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

    Job Duties:

    •     Develop Government Relations strategy and approach
    •     Develop and implement strategic initiatives that advance and support the organization’s vision and projects
    •     Monitor and evaluate legislative & regulatory issues, changes and potential transactions that could impact the business and its objectives
    •     Organize and steer activities for company leadership within government circles, industries organizations, advocacy groups and other platforms, including senior executive visits.

    Requirements: 

    •     A BSc. in Public Admin, Public Relations, Policy and Strategic Studies or any related course
    •     A Postgraduate degree in Communication or any related course; an MBA or MSc in Political Studies is an added advantage
    •     Membership of at least one of the following professional bodies will be an added advantage: Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), National Institute of Marketing, Nigeria (NIMN), Chartered Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (CIMN), etc.
    •     Minimum of 15 years experience in Government Relations management or similar experience


    LEAD, GOVERNMENT RELATIONS (DL-GR)

    Objective:
    Manage government relationships and plans and coordinate all key interactions with government partners to ensure the achievement of strategic business objectives.

    Job Duties:

    •     Assist in the implementation of government strategic initiatives that advance and support the organization’s vision and objectives
    •     Research and provide insight into legislative issues, changes and potential transactions that could impact the business and its objectives
    •     Assist senior management to prepare for presentations to legislative committees and where required, provide information in response to legislative requests
    •     Organize and steer activities for company leadership within government circles, industry organizations, advocacy groups and other platforms, including coordination of senior executive visits, events and meetings

    Requirements: 

    •     A BSc. in Public Admin, Public Relations, Policy and Strategic Studies or any related course

    ANALYST, POLICY AND REGULATIONS (DA-PR)

    Objective:
    Analyze and evaluate the effect of the policies set by the government on the organization and identify ways to address the effects of the policies on the organization.

    Job Duties:

    •     Identify issues or policy areas to explore that affect, or that can affect the organization
    •     Analyze and interpret regulatory proposals, legislation and other policies
    •     Report key findings and propose new policies to address problems
    •     Conduct cost-benefit analyses of existing policies to assess whether a program's outcomes outweighed the expenses or not and if the program cost was more than budgeted
    •     Research public policy, identify existing, emerging and anticipated policy issues and information affecting the society, clients, stakeholders and programs

    Requirements: 

    •     A BSc. in Public Admin, Public Relations, Policy and Strategic Studies or any related course

    LEAD POSITIONS

    LEAD, STRATEGY AND ARCHITECTURE (DL-SA)

    Objective:
    Accountable for the creation and maintenance of group IT Strategy; define and maintain the overall Enterprise Architecture governance framework for IT; align the IT roadmap and IT organization’s strategies with business imperatives.

    Job Duties:

    •     Steer the translation of business strategy into Technology strategy & ensure that new capabilities required are supported
    •     Ensure that an Enterprise Architecture roadmap exists and that it is current and aligned to the IT Strategy; define and maintain Enterprise Architecture principles, policies and standards
    •     Drive execution of transformational technology initiatives
    •     Interface and collaborate with corporate strategic planning functions and key stakeholders both in the Business Units and in IT

    Requirements:

    •     University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MBA or related areas
    •     Job relevant certifications such as: ITIL Foundation, TOGAF Foundation, Prince 2/ PMP
    •     At least 12 years of combined relevant experience; with 5 of them in Management/Coordination roles


    LEAD, DEMAND AND BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (DL-DBRM)

    Objective:
    Ensure IT demand is captured from business; plan, direct and coordinate demand and supply planning and maintain the Demand/Supply forecast to provide key input for the creation and maintenance of overall IT Strategy.

    Job Duties:

    •     Manage IT-business relationship
    •     Represent technology in the business discussions and ensure development of necessary business technology capabilities needed by business
    •     Ensure that the demand is in line with the agreed IT investment & operating plan
    •     Collate group-wide IT demand by liaising with Business Demand and Portfolio Management Specialists at the Business Units

    Requirements:

    •     University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MBA or related areas
    •     Job relevant certifications such as: ITIL Foundation, TOGAF Foundation, Prince 2/ PMP
    •     At least 12 years of combined relevant experience; with 5 of them in Management/Coordination roles

    LEAD, SOLUTIONS DEVELOPMENT (DL-SD)

    Objective:
    Analyse and refine requirements for delivering application and infrastructure services.

    Job Duties:

    •     Provide input to sourcing strategies and governance and ensure alignment with the IT strategy; manage the process of evaluating and selecting vendors
    •     Oversee the development, building, configuration and testing of solutions
    •     Coordinate/ oversee implementation of approved changes, whilst minimising the impact of changes to the quality of service
    •     Oversee development of comprehensive requirement specifications to determine the estimate of cost, time and resources to deploy solutions

    Requirements:

    •     University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MBA or related areas
    •     Job relevant certifications such as: ITIL Foundation, TOGAF Foundation, Prince 2/ PMP

    SENIOR SPECIALIST ROLES

    SENIOR SPECIALIST, IT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT (DSS-ITPM)
    Objective:
    Coordinate the successful delivery of IT projects by providing reports/dashboards on progress to aid better management insight and decision-making; create, update, approve and implement overall IT Quality Assurance Framework (QAF); design, deliver and maintain the organisation knowledge management strategy, processes and procedures to ensure relevant information is collated, recorded, organised and shared across all enterprise IT

    Job Duties:

    •     Business case documentation and review
    •     Business case value management
    •     Research, identify, assess and prototype key technology trends; make recommendations on trends that deliver greatest potential value
    •     Establish and maintain IT QAF
    • Requirements:

    Objective:

    •     Facilitate and participate in the development of the overall IT Strategy aligned to the outcomes defined in the overall Business Strategy underpinned by the strategies of the Business Unit IT organisations and constituent IT domains
    •     Perform gap analysis; provide a framework to align operational activity to the wider business objectives and to meet business imperatives establish guiding principles which help drive the optimal IT initiatives and investment decisions
    • Requirements:

    •     Job relevant certification such as: ITIL, TOGAF (or similar) certification, ISO 22301 and related security frameworks knowledge, CISSP or similar certification

    SENIOR SPECIALIST, ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE(DSS-EA)

    Objective:
    Responsible for the overall standards and direction of architecture within the group; align Enterprise Architecture (EA) to business goals and objectives; create and maintain the EA governance and framework for IT.

    Job Duties:

    •     Develop the principles, standards, policies and solution governance that guide EA and build a structured framework that focuses on alignment of business and IT architectures
    •     Provide architecture/technical knowledge, guidance and direction to technical teams within IT business users groups by defining and validating IT architectural principles, direction statements and standards
    •     Create a set of actionable plans/EA roadmap to reach the desired future state architecture

    Requirements:

    •     University Degree in any of Computer Science, Engineering, MBA or related areas
    •     Job relevant certification such as: ITIL, TOGAF (or similar) certification, ISO 22301 and related security frameworks knowledge, CISSP or similar certification

    SENIOR SPECIALIST, IT SECURITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT (DSS-ISRM)

    Objective:

    Accountable for the Information Security of the entire group; responsible for maintaining the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity provision, including development of BC/DR plans and scenarios

    Job Duties:

    •     Develop and manage the implementation and maintenance of the Group’s security strategy, policies and procedures and across business units
    •     Provide information protection and risk management advice to executive management including CIO and business leads. Establish constant vigilance over critical information assets
    •     Identifies security risks, threats and vulnerabilities for networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives
    •     Manage the overall Business Continuity Planning /Disaster Recovery(BCP/DR) testing process and report results to the business and senior IT management

    Requirements:

    • University Degree in any of Computer Science, Engineering, MBA or related areas
    • Job relevant certification such as: ITIL, TOGAF (or similar) certification, ISO 22301 and related security frameworks knowledge, CISSP or similar certification

    SPECIALIST ROLES

    SPECIALIST, APPLICATION ARCHITECTURE (DS-AA)

    Objective:
    Develop future state data and application blue print; define standards and direction of application architecture in the Business Units; maintain a broad view and understanding of the Group’s software/applications landscape.

    Job Duties:

    •     Define, document and maintain application architecture in the Business Units
    •     Support the definition and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture principles, policies and standards
    •     Define and deliver an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions to support Business Intelligence within the group
    •     Design data models and lead data modelling activities

    Requirements:

    • University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
    • Job relevant certification such as: CCDP or CCNP, ITIL, Comptia A+, Enterprise Desktop Support Technician (Win 7), SSCP/CISSP, CCNA, MCSE
    • At least 5years experience in the role applied for
