  • Our client provides world-class offshore services which include fabrication, assembling, testing and installation support for some of the largest subsea projects in the world such as Erha, Erha North, Akpo and usan. They operate from Onne Port, Warri and Lagos
     
    They currently require the services of highly skilled and experienced indigenous professionals with integrity, innovation, drive for excellence and strong leadership skills for the following positions:
     
    COORDINATOR SUBSEA PROJECTS (CSSP001)

    Summary of Responsibilities
    Assist in the procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance of subsea equipment and systems.

    Details of Responsibilities
    Review and approve equipment specifications.
    Review and approve installation procedures and drawings.
    Monitor and support contractor/vendor HSE performance.
    Act as Company's on-site Resident Engineer at vendor and fabricator sites.
    Act as on-site Company representative supervising activities of offshore installation contractor(s).
    Provide daily reports of offshore contractor activity/progress/issues.
    Provide weekily reports of vendor/fabricator activity/progress/issues.
    Review contractor/vendor cost claims.
    Provide reliable latest estimates of schedules and costs.

    Required Qualifications
    Tertiary Engineering Qualification.
    Membership of a relevant Professional Institution preferred but not essential.

    Required Skills & Experience
    Minimum seven (7) years relevant experience with an offshore contractor/service company/vendor/operator.
    Must have worked for subsea construction contractor in an engineering and/or supervisory role.
    Must have relevant offshore work experience.

    Key Competencies:

    Functional:
    Must have worked in an expatriate situation for at least 3years.
    Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of consistency and accuracy.
    Solid working knowledge of relevant oil and gas industry engineering codes and standards.
    Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles.
    Ability to manage interfaces both internally and externally with contractors.
    Have the ability to organise HAZIDs, HAZOPs, JHAs etc
    Apt reporting skills with the ability to write well structured and easily understood reports.
    Able to prepare presentations for information dissemination
    Fluent spoken and written English.
    Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Project, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint).

    Managerial:
    Good communication and team building skills - well able to lead and gain the respect of 3rd parties.
    Ability to improvise/prioritise with little notice without losing attention to detail.

    Behavioural:
    Self starter, results-driven and focussed on delivery.
    Able to hold own ground when challenged but can present a balanced view in putting arguments forward.

    PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER GRADE I (PDE002)

    Summary of Responsibilities
    Development and completion of oil tool design concepts to meet customers' specific requirements or the needs of the oil field industry in general. Provision of technical information, instructions, drawings and design engineering advice on oil tool products to customers, , and other departments within the organization.

    Details of Responsibilities
    Prepare drawings, information and documentation which meets client's engineering standards to enable the manufacturing group and other departments to produce and market the Company's products.
    Carry out design and development work under the guidance of more senior Engineers to meet customers' and/or the industry's needs.
    Work within stated procedures to ensure that design records/controls are maintained.
    Participate in testing of prototype and experimental equipment.
    Become familiar with company products, design principles, manufacturing techniques, economic design and safety aspects and customer contact protocol.
    Participate in Value Engineering/Analysis initiatives.

    Required Qualifications
    The candidate should ideally hold a degree in Engineering or as an alternative hold a HND or HNC plus suitable experience.

    Required Skills & Experience
    Ability to analyse customer requirements and to develop design concepts which satisfy a customer's needs and uphold the organization's standards of functional design and quality.
    Ability to draw up operating procedures for new equipment, or assembly and test procedures.  Support of shop floor activities with respect to evaluation of manufacturing non-conformances may be required periodically.

    PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER GRADE II (PDE3003)

    Summary of Responsibilities
    Development and completion of oil tool design concepts to meet customer specific requirements or the needs of the oilfield industry in general: provision of technical information, instruction, drawing and design engineering advice on oil tool products to customers, and other departments within the organisation.

    Details of Responsibilities
    Analyse and develop Product designs to meet Customers' or the Industries' needs having an awareness of good economic design and safety, both in manufacture and function.
    Engage in product development work.
    Discuss customer's requirements, to identify Company's Product which meet these.
    Give technical advice on the application and proper use of Cameron Products.
    Prepare drawings, information and provide the service necessary for the manufacturing group and other departments to manufacture and market the Cameron Products.
    Participate in Value Engineering/Analyse Initiatives.

    Required Qualifications
    Candidate should ideally hold a Degree in Engineering or as an alternative, hold a HND or HNC plus suitable experience.

    Required Skills & Experience

    Other Requiremements
    The candidate will be required to analyse customer requirements and to develop design concepts which satisfy customers' needs and uphold the Company's standards of functional design and quality.
    He/she will, where necessary, discuss the operational needs with the assigned Project Manager, Sales Force and/or with customer's technical or operational personnel.
    Prepare and present design concepts.
    His/her technical knowledge, skill and experience must embrace the industry's accepted standards and specifications set out in API, AISI standards, etc.  He/she must be aware of regulations covering design, safety, hazard and environmental restraints as laid down by Governmental Organisations, etc., pertinent to customers' sphere of operations.
    He/she may be required to draw up operating procedures for new shop equipment, or assembly and test procedures.  Support of shop floor activities with respect to evaluation of manufacturing non-conformances may be required periodically.
    He/she will participate in Product Training Schools for field service personnel, customer representatives and other company's personnel as required.
    The design and development will be influenced by his/her knowledge of in-plant manufacturing techniques and also by knowledge of new and improved manufacturing capabilities outside of theorganisation.

    DESIGNER (ENGINEERING) (DE004)

    Summary of Responsibilities
    To prepare manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and engineering procedures for equipment within the company's product range.

    Details of Responsibilities
    Generate design layouts of the company's equipment and supporting design documentation for the equipment designed.
    Prepare and check (as required) drawings which meet the company's engineering standards to enable the manufacturing group and other departments to produce and market the company's products.
    Work within stated procedures to ensure that design records/controls are maintained.
    Use CAD in the preparation of machining drawings and/or design layouts.
    Be aware of Value Engineering/Analysis initiatives and ensure the efficient implementation of common feature processes.
    Support engineering test programmes and shop floor build programmes (FAT/SIT) through hands-on shop floor involvement.
    Investigate and disposition 'non conformance reports'.

    Required Qualifications
    HND or HNC in any Engineering Discipline.

    Required Skills & Experience
    Candidate must have had a technician apprenticeship or equivalent basic training which must have included drawing office experience in preparation of manufacturing drawings.

    DRAUGHTS PERSON (DP006)

    Summary of Responsibilities
    To prepare manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and engineering procedures for equipment within the company's product range.

    Details of Responsibilities
    Prepare manufacturing drawings which meet Cameron Engineering Standards to enable the manufacturing group and other departments to produce and market the Company's Products.
    Work within stated procedures to ensure that design records/controls are maintained.
    Use CAD in the preparation of machining drawings.
    Be aware of Value Engineering/Analysis initiatives and ensure the efficient implementation of common feature processes.
    Support engineering test programmes and shop floor build programmes (FAT/SIT) through hands-on shop floor involvement.

    Required Qualifications
    OND or ONC in any Engineering discipline.

    Required Skills & Experience
    Candidate must have had a technician apprenticeship or equivalent basic training which must have included drawing office experience in preparation of manufacturing drawings.
     
    SYSTEM ENGINEER (ADVANCED) (SEA005)

    Summary of Responsibilities
    Candidate would be responsible for ensuring that the overall system design and integration requirements for an integrated subsea production control system fully satisfy the contractual requirements of the customer, meets all functional specifications, and complies with Company standards.  Although system engineers must be knowledgeable of all aspects of a subsea system, the incumbent typically specializes in one of 4 areas: Control System, Manifold System, Oil Tool System or Interface Management.  Coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.

    Details of Responsibilities
    Responsible for the system requirements across the entire project for the Company scope of supply within the relevant area of responsibility.
    Plans, directs and or participates in:  
    System testing and qualification such as FAT, SIT and SRT;
    Operational safety activities such as HAZIDS, HAZOPS, FMEA, risk analysis, and reliability studies;
    Project execution activities and design reviews;
    Fabrication and installation activities
    Creates, maintains and manages the package Action register.  This activity will require regular reviews and expediting the Engineering team to close out assigned items.
    Directs and coordinates activities determining overall field layout and detailed design specifications to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
    Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate system malfunctions.  Provides handover support.
    Provides technical analysis and recommendations on overall system design for proposals including feasibility of design or application and viable alternatives that benefit the Company while satisfying customer needs. 
    Responsible for ensuring that the field architecture and user requirements are integrated into the design and implementation of the manifolds, connection systems, tree systems, control system, flying leeds and umbilicals.
    Implements and monitors the Management of Change process.
    Assist in the development of the Design Basis Document, Project Execution Plan, and System Engineering Plan.  Primary responsibility for Design Basis Document.
    Ensures internal and external interfaces are fully understood and closed out in a timely manner.
    Develops the field P&ID's and process drawings.
    Investigates failures of products or processes, implements appropriate corrective actions, captures lessons learned, and interfaces with the customer to ensure satisfactory resolution and quality control measures.
    Works closely with the Lead Package Engineers for the various disciplines to ensure they understand and implement system requirements.
    Oversees subcontracted activities such as RAM and FMECA analysis, flow assurance, hydraulic analysis, riser analysis and soil analysis. 

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar technical field plus 7 years related experience.  Post graduate education such as a Masters or PhD in Engineering may be substituted for up to 2 or 3 year's experience respectively.
    Thorough knowledge of control systems and a keen understanding of their impact of changes in other parts of the subsea system on control systems and umbilicals.
    Experience on offshore systems projects or EPC contracts.
    Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

    Preferred Qualifications: 
    Knowledge of Cameron products
    Black Belt or Green Belt certification
    SAP R3
