    Sales Development Executive

    Job Description

    • Ensure strategic opportunities and objectives by Channel and by Category/brand are incorporates into the Customer Business plans.
    • Support marketing in the development of Customer specific Category/and or Shopper Marketing strategies within territory.
    • Continually monitor and analyze competitor activity and pricing as well as customer performance against the agreed objectives and if required, develop and implement the appropriate corrective action to ensure that targets are achieved.
    • Implement, monitor and evaluate agreed POP (pricing, promotions, ranging and merchandising) plans on a monthly basis.
    • Develop and communicate monthly, quarterly and annual reviews to customers and/or distributors within assigned territory.
    • Monitor customer service levels (order fill, case fill, credit notes, on-shelf availability) and develop corrective plans to address any issues.
    • Input and co-ordination of monthly, quarterly and annual demand forecast by account by brand and SKU.
    • Track profitability of all distributors so as to ensure the sales mix within each of the distributor’s basket is in line with the overall pricing strategy and in line with the approved issued mandates.
    • Enable product knowledge with all wholesaler/distributor sales forces and identify opportunities to get the best out of the wholesaler/distributor sales teams through individual performance management and team segmentation.
    • Develop and implement incentives and sales promotions that deliver to agreed sales and distribution targets in assigned territory.
    • Ensure that the company at all times has the right product offer and materials in the market place relevant to its competitors and specific to the market and consumers’ needs.

    Minimum Requirements

    • University degree or equivalent with at least 2 years commercial experience in the FMCG sector.
    • Possession of a Driver’s Licence is a must
    • Global VISA and Relocation Specifications:
    • The role is a to be  filled, and is a replacement for the current SDE who has left the business few months back.
    • As per original plan we have 4 SDEs in North for current year, but with the exit of one SDE few months back, we are now left with 3 SDEs.
    • The SDE now being recruited as a replacement for the former one, will cover the states of Kano, Katina and Jigawa.
    • US$ ISV projection/ month from this SDE will be circa $100,000/Month which will contribute to North Revenue, thus rolling up to Nigeria National Revenue objective.
    • Also key to note there is no Customer Manager in North currently and hence essential to have all 4 SDEs functioning effectively in order to achieve set objective.

    Sales Capability Manager

    Job Description

    • To develop and sustain ‘best-in-class’ Go-To-Market, Customer Management, Marketing and Sales capabilities and processes
    • The Sales Capability Manager will be responsible for equipping sales teams to deliver current business goals in the target markets, by ensuring they have the skills, capabilities and behaviours to perform effectively in their roles and are motivated to deliver the key outcomes our customers seek
    • You will be required to play a strategic role in directing what and how capability is delivered across Nigeria, working closely with leadership teams to drive an acceptance of change in the way sales training and coaching is implemented and managed in the workplace.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Lead the marketing development program for KC Nigeria in line with Global Marketing University (GMU) principles. Become an in-country GMU champion conducting orientation and refresher training for the KC team.
    • Internal consultant to commercial project leaders to help build capability and drive execution excellence of projects.
    • Lead the Customer Management/Sales capability roadmap priority development for KC, aligned with EMEA regional programs and local commercial leadership.
    • Own the skills and competency dictionaries within the sales function. Work with commercial team leaders to ensure integration with team and individual development plans, including assessment techniques.
    • Define and recommend training requirements assessing internal and external sales teams including evaluating training effectiveness.
    • Providing in field coaching to develop the Functional Competency of the Field Sales force.
    • Work with customer, trade marketing and sales teams on building Joint Business Planning / Joint Value Creation (JBP/JVC) capability with strategic distributors.
    • Commercial “best practices” development and implementation from within KC and with peer companies, incorporating: case study development; implementation plans and toolkits; system to monitor/measure performance.

    The Individual

    • Trade marketing experience in Nigeria.
    • Commerce Degree, 10 years job experience, which should include excellent understanding of and experience in Marketing and Customer Management (Channel, Trade Marketing and/or Account Management); as well as strong commercial acumen.
    • Proven track record of delivering business results through others and building capabilities.
    • Proven project management capability.

    • With the 2020 Africa plan and with Nigeria as a key market,  it has become urgent that we hire a Sales Capability Manager to support the training and development of the Sales team  on the KC way of selling and to empower the team to meet their goals for the Nigeria business.
