    Grocery / Non Food Manager

    Job Purpose

    • To provide a wide variety of quality grocery / non–food products to the satisfaction of customers; and with aim of giving an unparalleled product experience.
    • To drive the business by ensuring the availability of all range of products both in prescribed quality and quantity.
    • To arrange / display various types of products / items in a neat, attractive and eye-catching manner as to appeal to the customers’ fancy.

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and correct where necessary team members’ grooming and appearance.
    • Ensure strict adherence by all team members to the various roasters – shift roaster; off-duty roaster, leave roaster etc. maintained by the department.
    • Ensure cleaning is implemented in accordance with the department procedure / schedule.
    • Monitor in coordination with team stock inventory and ensure the availability of products at all time.
    • Ensure that products are stored at right place and under the right condition - temperatures & in a hygienic & safe manner.
    • Maintain ideal stock levels per product category & rotate stock (FIFO / FEFO)
    • Ensure availability of stock and placing of order immediately they fall below the minimum stock level.
    • Coordinate product merchandise & display: In a neat & hygienic manner in line with the floor display plan.
    • Cross-merchandising and space planning and management.
    • Vendor merchandisers’ management/stand management.
    • Stock management.
    • Ensure checks are conducted to remove all spoilt / damaged products from display and proper documentation is done.
    • Ensure stock rotation (FIFO / FEFO).
    • Ensure all products have: correct price tags, with details and date of expiry.
    • Ensure to always serve customers in a pleasing manner & cross sell other products.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Retail Store Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the day to day supervision of the outlet, sales, staff, stock, and resources management
    • Manage budgets by scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions
    • Maintain statistical and final records at store level.
    • Deal with customers queries and complaints
    • Oversee stock control, inventory and financial stock takes and stock counts.
    • Maximise profitability and meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so
    • Ensure compliances with health and safety legislation
    • Prepare the store ready for promotional activities and feature space display plan
    • Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service.
    • Maintain store yearly steering wheel KPIs and engage all staff to contribute to store performance.
    • Maintain store staff objectives and personal development plans by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
    • Follow up Audit results and next steps to improve standards.
    • Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand their expectations and service requirements.
    • Follow and execute marketing strategies (price, promotions) and monitor competitors and share feedbacks to management.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
    • Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
    • Maintain and follow Business Code of Conducts for self and employees at the store.
    • Manage and report regulatory bodies visits at the stores.

    To facilitate smooth flow of work and sales, the Store Manager interfaces between the following key people to the business:

    • Customers
    • Vendors & Merchandisers.
    • Departmental Managers.
    • Department Chiefs/Supervisors.
    • Procurement Team.
    • Commercial Team.
    • Marketing Team.
    • HR Team.
    • Accounts Team.
    • Loss prevention
    • Regulators
    • And other relevant departments.
