    Cinema Manager

    Location Aba

    The Cinema Manager will be responsible for managing the proper and profitable running of the Cinema to ensure that the Cinema operates efficiently and effectively within the Company’s fiscal and operational guidelines. This includes proactively leading the Cinema team to ensure achievement of business goals in revenue, cost, profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee morale in line with the company’s mission, standards of operations and core values. The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

    • New Cinema set-up and project management
    • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Cinema business driving sales maximization and profitability
    • Maximizing box office revenues by building balanced showtimes and posting to sales channels upon approval
    • Manages all other revenue within the Cinema which includes food and beverage, events execution and advertising compliance
    • Ensuring the cinema meets set audience targets each month/year etc.
    • Effective management of operational and controllable costs on a day-to-day basis
    • Reviewing financial numbers on a regular basis and make operational adjustments, as necessary
    • Responsible for ensuring the best movie picture and sound quality.
    • Responsible for customer relations, marketing and promotions of feature film engagements, scheduling of movie show times and the timely delivery of show times to all proper channels.
    • Collaborating with local Filmmakers and Marketing agencies to promote movies
    • Monitoring risk management as it pertains to the cinema, i.e., employee and customer safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and the proper handling and security of cinema assets, reporting, and investigating of accidents.
    • Supervising all employees, as well as hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and developing, and disciplining employees in accordance with company policies.
    • Responsible for ensuring that customer service is delivered with excellence
    • Developing and documenting Standards of Operations (SOPs)

    The Candidate is required to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree from recognized university in any relevant Management field with at least a second class lower.
    • At least 7 years of relevant management experience in a reputable film exhibition company, knowledge of movie projection and sound equipment.
    • In-depth knowledge about cinema business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends.
    • Experience in cinema set-up is an added advantage
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to effectively solve problems, prioritize conflicting demands, and manage multiple tasks.
    • Ability to analyze, interpret, and make decisions based on business and financial data.
    • Ability to operate independently with a high degree of autonomy, taking the initiative to deal with issues
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Good Negotiation Skills
    • Good Computer use skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, internet)
