Accounts Payable Accountant at IAN Associates

Job Responsibilities

•     Manage general systems and procedures for accounts payables and disbursements for Head Office and subsidiaries
•     Review and verify invoices and check requests, set invoices up for payment, enter and upload invoices into system
•     Track expenses and process users expense reports, prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, prepare and perform check runs including payment risk assessments
•     Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records, reconcile accounts payable transactions, prepare analysis of accounts
•     Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and in compliance with accounting processes
•     Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues and answer queries, maintain vendor files, correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
•     Produce monthly reports, assist with month end closing, provide supporting documentation for audits

Qualifications

•     7 plus years’ experience in finance with 5 years as a Financial Accountant
•     First degree in Accounting or related discipline. Master’s degree is an advantage
•     Professional qualification is compulsory. ACA/ACCA
•     Proficiency in accounting software / ERP
