Job Summary

The CT & OO makes all executive decisions with regards to the technological interests of a company. They are responsible for outlining the company's technological vision, implementing technology strategies, and ensuring that the technological resources are aligned with the company's business needs.

CT & OO oversees the company’s business operations and reports to the CEO. Ensures the company has effective operational procedures in place. Provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

By setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth together with the Managing Director and the Executive Management Team, the CT&OO in Operations capacity leads employees and encourages maximum performance and dedication.

Job Description & Accountabilities

Technology

• Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company.
• Ensuring that the technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.
• Outline the goals for research and development.
• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
• Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements.
• Acting as a mentor to team members.
• Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivering of IT projects to market.
• Managing technology budgets and time frames.
• Staying on top of technology trends and developments.
• Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.

Operations

• Working together with key participants to compile the budget.
• Spearheading strategies to steer the company’s future in a positive direction.
• Driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals.
• Controlling company costs and introducing tactical initiatives to address theft and other losses.
• Delegating responsibilities to ensure staff members grow as capable participants.
• Employing various initiatives to coach employees to optimize their capabilities.
• Completing performance reviews in a prudent manner.
• Assessing and implementing improved processes and new technologies and collaborating with management regarding the implementation of these improvements.

Job Requirements - (Skills and Experience)

• Experience in working with senior management to align information technology – infrastructure, architecture and software development
• Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
• Advanced technological skillset and a demonstrated history with technology.
• Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels.
• 8+ years working in a technological role, with at least a first degree in computer science or related field.
• Demonstrated experience of ethical leadership.
• Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous complex enterprise.
• Ability to delegate efficiently with exceptional team management skills.
• Extensive industry knowledge (financial or Fintech sector) with an eye towards the future.
