    Financial Analyst

    JOB BRIEF

    A client of ours is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for providing accurate and data based information on company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching and analyzing financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design and continuously improve existing and new company processes. This includes selecting systems that support day-to-day operations; outlining process flows, defining operating rules and policies, integrating manual operations with IT systems and defining performance metrics
    • Evaluate creditworthiness and risks of potential customers
    • Approval or denial of loan applications within established company processes
    • Implementing solutions that bring process performance to the next level such as ensuring effective and timely responses to new loan applications
    • Managing the entire company processes implies overseeing a wide range of operational activities alongside managing customer relationships. These include but are not limited to: performing credit analysis, establishing direct communication channels with applicants and borrowers, issuing loan agreements, issuing monthly statements, addressing customer claims, etc.
    • Maintain updated records of loan applications
    • Follow up with clients about loan renewals
    • Maintain effective customer communication
    • Work closely with senior management
    • Prepare regular presentations on the overall status of the company’s operations and deliver results and improvement plans to the Board of Directors and Shareholders.

    EDUCATION, GENERAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting or equivalent experience
    • Previous experience in the consumer finance industry is compulsory and preference will be given to candidates with at least 3 years of recent experience in a similar role
    • A great understanding of the end–to–end credit life process  including account management, collections, and recoveries
    • Numerically savvy, able to work with data, perform analysis and communicate results
    • Capable of understanding process shortcomings and set up key performance indicators to measure improvements
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Able to build financial models and KPI dashboards using MS Excel and Power BI
