    QHSE Coordinator (M/F)

    International Logistics Company, based in Apapa, Lagos, is now looking for a highly motivated & ambitious Quality Coordinator (M/F) to join our team.
     
    The ideal candidate brings a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm and is feeling comfortable in a dynamic fast-growing environment.
    In this role you will report to Managing Director and work closely with Senior Management.
    Your high-level job description:

    • Ensure a continued process of improvement in the standards of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
    • and a safe working environment for our employees;
    • To issue updates and ensures documentation is easily available to all relevant personnel, as well as
    • providing training when required;
    • Initiate evaluation and improvement of projects within our constantly and rapidly changing organization;
    • Colleagues see you as the primary and accessible point of contact in the area of QHSE;

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Promote and communicate a QHSE culture and awareness and advise Management on the requirements
    • and compliance with regulations, codes of practice and other relevant legislation relating to the work of
    • the Company;
    • Conduct and advise QHSE assessment where required and maintain a management of applicable registers;
    • Advising senior management regarding (future) policy, strategy and management review concerning QHSE;
    • Carry out site inspections / audit and advise when and where necessary to improve methods of work in compliance with the regulations and company procedures;
    • Apply and maintain compliance certificates;
    • Report about safety standards within the company in relation to compliance with required legislation and
    • company procedures;
    • Ensure that there is adequate liaison and understanding of QHSE requirements between the Company and third parties;
    • Conduct safety training to personnel;
    • Inspiring and coaching in your leadership style. Lead by example;
    • Ensuring that all QHSE guidelines, certificates, procedures and work-instruction are up to date and timely
    • in place;
    • Analytical strong and able to assess risks and scenarios focused on results and safety;
    • Excellent verbal skills and able to write in a clear and concise manner;
    • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor/master degree in relevant field of work such as quality, logistical engineering & business Administration;
    • 5 years of demonstrable experience in successful managing a QHSE department;
    • Experienced in the ISO-9001 compliance and certification process. ISO 22301 knowledge will be a plus;
    • Implement and audit to achieve compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
    • Knowledge of and experience with Risk and Quality management within a dynamic logistic environment;

    Additional expected (personal) skillset:

    • Accessible, open-minded, energetic, confident, pro-active personality;
    • Ability to translate company targets into feasible QHSE department targets;
    • Good communicator between all levels of the organization, a self-starter with hands-on mindset;
    • High degree of professional ethics and ability to maintain confidentially;
