    Senior Instrument Engineer


    Location:

    Job Objective

    • To provide material selection and corrosion management advice to Project Teams as regards material corrosion ensuring cost effective material selection and corrosion mitigation strategies which will ensure
    • (technical) integrity of the materials applied in subsurface and surface hydrocarbon production, processing and transportation systems through their life cycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Formulate a plan, review and analyze preventive maintenance strategy for the equipment instrumentation in order to achieve highest efficiency of the activities for reliable and safe operation.
    • Provide technical advice during troubleshooting and corrective action of instrument breakdown or failures to find the root cause and best solution in order to restore the functionality back to normal.
    • Attend to technical query by operation personnel and provide advice/solution according to best engineering practise to address issues which affect the operation.
    • Administer the relevant contract, its contractors and suppliers associated to the works as contract holder to ensure compliance to the procedures, policies and guidelines set to support the maintenance needs.
    • Monitor spare parts and inventory for critical instrumentation to ensure availability when required in order to minimize production interruption. Establish new inventory/cataloging where necessary. Update information in the inventory to ensure it is relevant for the current operation.
    • Provide technical inputs in full cycle of procurement processes for contract, materials and service requisition where required so that all technical requirements are addressed properly to protect company interest.
    • Identify, study, propose, and implement area for improvement (project) in the field of instrumentation engineering to enhance operation and improve total equipment reliability.
    • Develop the plan, scope and lead the execution of shutdown works for instrumentation to ensure completion within the specified window.
    • Forecast and prepare budget for instrument related activities i.e. maintenance, shutdown and project for consolidation into department yearly Work Program and Budget (WPB). Monitor budget utilization closely and provide justification for variance.
    • Supervise work execution on site, develop procedures and instruction for either maintenance, shutdown or project to ensure compliance to safety, specification, standard and procedures in order to achieve highest quality of the work.
    • Represent company and participate actively in any meetings, discussion and initiatives by PETRONAS which is relevant to the job roles and business needs in order to safeguard company interest.
    • Populate inputs into Computerized Materials and Maintenance Management System (CMMMS) to ensure data and history of equipment maintenance activities are captured accurately. Provide inputs to maintenance planner with regards to instrument maintenance activities for his consolidation into Integrated Operation Plan (IOP).
    • Supervise and groom Junior Instrument Engineer to develop his technical knowledge, skills and competencies in order to produce potential talent for future business needs

    Requirements
    Educational Qualification required for the Position:

    • A Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

    Professional Qualification required for the Position:

    • Preferably a COREN Registered Engineer.

    Experience required for the Position:

    • 7+ years experience in Instrumentation engineering design (onshore & offshore) within the Oil and Gas EPC (or related) environment.

    Functional Competencies:

    • Proficient to the codes and standards in the oil and gas industry i.e. API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.
    • Must be conversant with SPI (Intools)

    Corrosion Control Engineer


    Key Responsibilities

    • Design of Cathodic Protection System for mitigation and control of corrosion on submerged/buried metallic facilities, and Control of internal corrosion in steel processing, transmitting and storage facilities.
    • Plan and perform testing and field surveys for corrosion and corrosion protection systems, evaluation of test results and installation of cathodic protection systems on various structure
    • Work with specific objectives and instruction from supervisors on client drawings and specifications
    • Conduct field surveys to gather data for evaluation of corrosion and corrosion control
    • Execute pipeline and tank integrity testing
    • Perform testing of corrosion prevention systems including cathodic protection, protective coatings, AC/DC interference and corrosion monitoring
    • Gather structure-to-soil potential data, electrolyte resistivity measurements and rectifier data.
    • Diagnose and develop recommended remedies for system difficulties observed during survey operations
    • Prepare rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other CP System design drawings using AUTOCAD.
    • Prepare REDLINE Markup and As-Built of CP System drawings of site installations using AUTOCAD.
    • Assemble and analyze data for preparation of final client report including recommendations
    • Prepare survey reports and final job reports for review.

    Educational Qualification and Experience

    • Degree in Engineering
    • Minimum of NACE CP Technician (CP 2) Certification.
    • Minimum of 8 years corrosion control experience.

    Key Skills and Abilities:

    • Must be Proficient in the use of AUTOCAD Software.
    • Must be Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Application - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Must have strong project management and technical problem-solving skills

    Construction Manager


    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure the direction of project construction activities, performed by subcontractors or in supervising multidisciplinary construction works to ensure the activities are done in lie with contract requirements and project deliverables.
    • Ensure the implementation of HSE procedures for construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
    • Give guidelines for the definition of construction strategies, such as subcontracting plans, logistics and constructability studies, during various stages of the project.
    • Review of construction contractual documents and its interfacing with other project functions.
    • Participate in defining the overall project planning and scheduling for construction activities, with the support of key project management team and support key personnel.
    • Ensure that activities are carried out within the planned time and costs, coordinate, direct and drive construction team and as required advise on corrective actions in case of deviations, variations or difficulties.
    • Analyse all information regarding the progress of works, indicating the causes of deviations between the program and the work carried out and propose solutions and/or request instructions to overcome these problems.
    • Ensure effective interdisciplinary coordination verifying adequacy and consistency of construction strategies.
    • Coordinate the execution of multidisciplinary construction activities and manage activities assigned to subcontractors, providing the guidelines for execution of the works and monitoring adequacy of manpower and equipment to manage construction activities.
    • Manage interface with clients for all matters relevant to construction activities.
    • Manage interface with engineering departments for drawings and materials availability.
    • Ensure/manage completion activity by System & Sub-system as clearly identified by Commissioning Manager, monitoring the schedule, quality certification, punch list, up to final handover Commissioning/Client.

    Commissioning Manager


    Key Responsibilities

    • Review drawings and make recommendations concerning constructability, reliability
    • and maintainability
    • Develop and maintain the commissioning standards to be used as the guidelines for the commissioning process used for all construction, modification and maintenance projects.
    • Develop and maintain all the necessary documents used in the commissioning process with Construction and Project Managers.
    • Develop a project specific commissioning plan for each project assigned with Construction and Project Managers.
    • Develop or obtain test, start-up procedures for equipment, and the sequence of operation for use in developing the commissioning plan.
    • Liaise with Construction and Project Manager to plan day to day running of plant commissioning
    • Coordinate the commissioning team throughout the design, construction and maintenance processes.
    • Liaise with the client regarding commissioning activities
    • Participate in Identifying, coordinating, and managing external (Third Party) commissioning agencies, consultants and Subcontractors for various projects in the event that such services are required.
    • Communicate with vendors with regards to issues regarding commissioning of various vendor supplied materials
    • Provide updates to all vendors including installation progress, problems, and site requirements for commissioning
    • Consider the HR concerns of the commissioning team, including interviewing members of the teams
    • Manage a team of onsite commissioning crew, including delegation of various duties to the crew
    • Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times during commissioning
    • Manage day to day of the commissioning process, from pre-commissioning inspection and check-listing, water commissioning to hot commissioning
    • Attend project meetings for assigned projects and as delegated by the Commissioning Manager .

    • Verify all equipment is operating as designed and meets or exceeds the expectations of the project.

    CAD Administrator

    Job Objective

    • To provide Project PDMS/3D CAD Setup and Administration Activities, Data Base Administration, Clash Manager set up, report customization, Spooler Set up & Catalogue Building in an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with design teams for MTOs (for input into SPRD) and other reports (weight reports, center of gravity (COG) etc.)
    • Setup support configuration and customization using MDS to enable supports modelling and drawing extraction
    • Coordinate with all disciplines to ensure that the output of 2D drawings from 3D model is maximized
    • Setup & configure drawing styles & rulesets for extraction of various types of 2D drawings for various disciplines
    • Should have good understanding of PDMS Spooler Module for user support, trouble shooting and configuration and customization
    • Manage PDMS Global and PDMS Extract Databases. Coordinate with Systems lead in setting up global projects
    • Coordinate with Systems lead for maintaining global catalogues
    • Setup progress measurement gates
    • Generate weekly progress reports for 3D administration
    • Create local backups of running projects as necessary
    • Ensure that project databases are cleaned up and merged periodically
    • Create Review / Navisworks file of the 3D model daily

    Functional Competencies:

    • Good understanding of Design Engineering and associated work practices
    • Very good knowledge of configuring and supporting all modules within Vantage PDMS
    • Able to coordinate all PDMS/3D model activities between all engineering departments
    • Practical knowledge of PML/PML II programming language
    • Able to generate video presentations using Review

    Educational Qualification Required

    • A Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc) in Engineering and/or IT background
    • Professional Qualification required for the Position:
    • Preferably a COREN Registered Engineer.
    • Experience required for the Position:
    • 5+ years experience in CAD Administration within the Oil and Gas EPC (or related) environment. Experience as a Piping Designer (PDMS/3D) preferred.

    Project Interface Engineer


    Key Responsibilities

    • Reviews and updates the project scope, activity list, resource estimate, budget, schedule, risk register and other project constraints for the approval of the Project Manager
    • Responsible for handling general interaction and liaison with client.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of an effective project progress and performance reporting plan. Relates with the Project Planner(s) to prepare project weekly and monthly performance report for the approval of the Project Manager.
    • Coordinate the daily activities of the site managers, sectional heads and lead engineers on the achievement of project deliverables.
    • Communicate and evaluates the achievement of project objectives at all stages of the project.
    • Ensures the compilation, control and reporting of all delays, disruption and variation to contract such that management action is alerted at the right time.
