    Mechanical Engineers

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordination, Design and Drafting of building mechanical services from conceptual to completion stage.
    • Preparation of tender documents including; detailed drawings, specification and Bill Of Quantities
    • Participate in tender technical analysis and negotiations.
    • Review and approve workshop drawings for construction.
    • Supervision of construction and installation works of building mechanical services
    • Liaise with Project Managers, Architects, and other engineers to coordinate design of engineering projects
    • Prepare and submit project and progress reports as appropriate
    • Prepare test procedure plan, supervision test on electromechanical equipment and certify test results.
    • Supervise equipment commissioning programme and sign-off.

    Background and requirements

    • Education: B.SC / M.SC / PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
    • B. Eng Mechanical Engineering
    • Vantage PDMS 11.6 Equipment & piping Design
    • Professional Certification: COREN (Registered member)
    • Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) - Corporate member
    • Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers (NiMechE) member
    • Vantage PDMS 11.6 Equipment & Piping Design Certified

    Experience:

    • Minimum 8 years work experience in similar position.
    • Appropriate selection of equipments to include HVAC Load calculations Duct & pipe sizing.
    • Tender documents preparation to include Detailed drawings & BOQs
    • Preparation, Design & supervision of operational maintenance manual for Electromechanical equipment
    • Autocard and or Revit conversant
    • Experienced in plumbing design
    • Review of workshop drawings for construction
    • In-depth knowledge of codes and standard for designing building mechanical services
    • Skills and Abilities (IT Tools)
    • Highly proficient in the use of the following:
    • Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, MS Project, & Outlook )
    • AutoCAD , AutoCAD MEP, PDMS
    • Design Software ( Primavera Project Planner )
    • Good command of Language English Language ( Oral & Written )

    Quantity Surveyor

    Qualifications and Experiences

    To maximise project margin and add value to the construction process by proactive involvement in procurement, cost management and reporting. To drive best value from suppliers and subcontractors. To carry out monthly financial reviews (CVRs) on projects and forecast final outturn values for cost, sales and margin.

    He must have B. Sc. in Quantity Surveying and M. Sc. in Quantity Surveying. He must have a minimum of 8 years quantity surveying experience

    Specific Tasks

    • To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
    • Prepare and monitor project cashflow forecasts.
    • Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
    • Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
    • Prepare submit and negotiate project final accounts.
    • Commercial vetting of sub-contractor tenders and contracts.
    • Certification of subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
    • Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at project level.
    • Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets
    • Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.
    • Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable
    • Monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labour, material and sub-contractor cost forecasting thus ensuring budgets adhered to.
    • Supply all relevant information to the Commercial
    • Manager for review at the specified intervals set.
    • Assist Commercial Manager with a range of other duties as may be required from time to time.
    • Timely submission and negotiation of final accounts to the client / main contractor and subcontractors
