    Accounts Officer

    Description:

    We are seeking to employ an account officer in a non-profit organisation in Ibadan, Nigeria. The ideal candidate should have a first degree in accounting and or professional certification in accounting. Experience in a similar role in the non-profit for an average of one to two years is highly desired. There are further training and learning opportunities for the chosen candidate. The preferred person should not be older than 29 years at the time of application and should have good communication skills - oral and written, including drafting emails, memos, reports that are finance related. He or she should also have sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and be very comfortable with using the former. Experience in the use of Quick book will also be considered an advantage. 

    Understanding of basic tax laws and other related government regulations and remittances is also compulsory. The successful candidate will be required to commence work immediately or not later than the first week of November 2019.

    The net monthly remuneration is in the range of N40,000 to N50,000 depending on the skills level of the candidate. This is subject to further increase after the mandatory 2 month probation period with pension and health insurance included.

    Abridged Job Description
    The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibilities — prepare payrolls, prepare monthly financial statements following laid-down accounting principles, prepare budgets, manage project finances, prepare financial reports, manage office inventory, keep records and also manage office operations and other key finance activities as required.
