    2. Job description
    A. General purpose of the position, responsibilities and tasks
    General purpose of the position

    The main purpose of the role is to Support INTERSOS Programs establishing/strengthening and managing the accountability
    system for efficiency, transparency and quality program implementations.
    Reporting to the Field M&E Officer and closely working with program and front-line staffs.

    Main responsibilities and tasks

    • Support in managing the complaints and response mechanism (CRM) in each location on the highest
    • levels of integrity which beneficiaries will trust and ensures that they can make confidential complaints and
    • be confident of the response processes.
    • Monitor complaints received and response (follow-up) processes through developing and maintaining a tracking mechanism.
    • Ensure that feedback is routinely recorded, reviewed and responded timely in line with feedback mechanism
    • guidelines.
    • Be the first point of contact for beneficiary, staff and stakeholder complaints in field location.
    • Maintain and update the CFM (complaint and feedback mechanism) database; and provide timely update to project staff based on the nature of feedback.
    • Support the CCCM Monitors in analyzing patterns and trends in complaints to help improve programming.
    • Generate periodic reports and share with project teams and the meal department.
    • Participate in internal and external meetings related to humanitarian accountability in field locations.
    • Lead in developing a responsive, functional and appropriate feed backing mechanism which can improve current project implementation and guide
    • future programming.
    • The tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are non-exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project’s needs.

    3. Position requirements
    Education Minimum of B.Sc/HND in Any discipline (preferably statistics or social sciences) from a recognized higher institution

    Professional experience

    • At least 1 year of experience in the design and implementation of M&E in development and emergency projects.
    • Knowledge of Accountability systems is an added advantage
    • Hands-on experience of monitoring/Evaluation and supporting community-based development programmes.

    Manage and organize information systems, establish and maintain filing systems

    Professional requirements

    • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
    • Expertise in analysing data using statistical software.
    • Ability to work independently and make good decisions with minimum supervision.
    • Excellent command of English and local language oral and written.
    • Background/familiarity with Emergency.
    • Strong interpersonal and team building skills and excellence as a team player.
    • Must possess the ability to learn with speed and ease.
    • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentation etc.) are an added advantage.
    • Knowledge the use of Google Drive
    • Strong sense of responsibility, methodical and accurate with high organizational skills.
    • Honesty and integrity and able to cope with stressful situations.

    Roving Finance Assistant

    Reporting to: Finance Officer

    ROLE PURPOSE:
    INTERSOS is looking for a Roving Finance Assistant that will be responsible for managing the field cash
    payments and financial issues. Represents the finance department in the fields and will take the
    responsibility of reporting all the financial aspects of the fields to the finance management. He/she will be
    responsible for ensuring the fields compliance with INTERSOS internal regulations, financial policies and
    procedures.

    KEY JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare in collaboration with Maiduguri finance officer the monthly visits plan and communicate it with the finance management for approval
    • Periodical visits to the fields to manage their financial issues in collaboration with the fields administrative focal points
    • Conduct periodical cash counting for the fields safe boxes and generate cash counting reports
    • Follow up and close the pending amounts of the fields’ staff
    • Check and collect the fields financial documents (invoices, receipts, attendance sheets,…etc) and supply them to Maiduguri finance office.
    • Support the projects staff in any related financial issues like volunteers’ payments, casual workers, guards, housekeepers….etc, and ensure having the appropriate payment documents.
    • Carry out periodical check for the logistics works in the fields and collaborate with the logistics staff for any needed financial support.
    • Carry out the cash movements from Maiduguri office to the fields according to the projects’ managers requirements and cash requirements forecast.
    • Register the fields expenditures in the sub PN and report his daily PN to Maiduguri Finance officer to check and consolidate
    • Monitor the fields staff pending aging and liaise with them to close the pending in accordance to the specified maximum aging in INTERSOS Control Model
    • Any ad-hoc task that is requested by the finance management
    • Archive the fields financial documents in Maiduguri finance department
    • Control and report the fields fixed assets and reconcile the logistics inventory records with the actual existed assets in the fields
    • Assist the finance team in the monthly/yearly closing
    • Assist the finance team in the projects financial closing.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    • Minimum of B.Sc/HND in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration from a recognized higher institution
    • Minimum 2 years finance/Accounting experience in multinational working environment
    • Minimum 1 year experience with recognized INGO
    • Good Reporting and analysis skills
    • Manage and organize information systems, establish and maintain filing systems
    • Strong interpersonal and team building skills and excellence as a team player
    • Excellent command of English and local language oral and written.

    Case Worker (GBV/Protection Monitoring)

    ROLE PURPOSE:
    The case worker is responsible for assessing immediate protection needs, developing immediate care and treatment goals, and implementing and monitoring women, men and children clients’ care action plans.

    KEY JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct regular visit to meet with persons of concern within the community and identify individuals at risk and humanitarian needs;
    • Conduct interviews for intake and Global Protection Monitoring with individuals identified by the outreach worker or referred by other agencies, and open a case if vulnerability criteria are met
    • Conduct timely assessment and case management by creating a climate of trust and care, and implementing the action plan steps, case follow up and case closure as per standard guidelines;
    • Ensure and referred basic emotional support for each case and for their close family members, as required;
    • Conduct individual assessments for the provision of material assistance, shelter kit and dignity kit or/and transportation costs for medical treatment, as required;
    • Refer clients to appropriate services and when necessary directly accompany them to different service providers as needed;
    • Ensure good relationships and coordination with the main service providers in the area of
    • intervention to improve identification of persons with specific needs for prompt referral, follow up
    • and information sharing.
    • Encouraged weekly internal case management meetings and make prompt reports/bring to the immediate attention any case of special/emergency needs to the Protection Officer;
    • Conduct with the service mapping assessment in the target areas and support the development of referral systems with different service providers and the local NGO/CBO partner;
    • Carry out all tasks respecting key protection principles, including but not limited to: do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality, accountability and need-to-know principles
    • Ensure proper and safe filing and archiving of case management files and database to maintain data confidentiality
    • Plan and conduct service awareness with the Protection Officer and partner;
    • Support the Protection Officer to prepare monthly report on activities and conduct site visits to verify and assess activity implementation and the quality of services clients are referred to;
    • Identify and report gaps in the availability of services and quality of service provision for clients in the target areas.
    • Any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor, Project Managers and Protection Coordinator.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    • Minimum of B.Sc/HND in Any discipline (preferably social sciences) from a recognized higher institution
    • Minimum one year work experience with international/national NGOs and/or local authorities in the Nigerian context;
    • Strong listening and empathy skills, as well as commitment to supporting women and children survivors/ at risk;
    • Ability and motivation to work well with local authorities, local leaders and local community;
    • Good cooperation skills, ability to work well independently and in a team;
    • Good problem solving and social skills and creative, to think of alternative solutions;
    • Stress-resilient to be able to cope with deadlines and complex problems;
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills;
    • Computer literate (Word and Excel);
    • Willing to work extra hours and available at the weekend for emergency cases.
    • Strong sense of responsibility, methodical and accurate with high organizational skills.
