    Operations Director WCA

     

    Role Summary/Purpose:    
    Manage complex customer area through leadership and development of team (field engineers, installation field engineers, installation specialists, project managers, clinical apps specialists..). Create an environment to achieve ultimate customer loyalty. The LCT Operations Director will be accountable for the Services P&L, the Customer projects execution and the operational financial targets in the LCT.

    Essential Responsibilities:    
    Responsible for all GE Healthcare Services and customer projects activities- both direct and via Channel partners for all Healthcare businesses including Diagnostic Imaging, Ultrasound , Life Care Solutions- Clinical Devices.
    Accountable for positive leadership of direct reports to include ongoing direction, coaching, and career development.
    Drives Services P&L for the LCT to deliver profitable growth and enable business growth aligned with regional strategy.
    Owns services operational processes: Corrective jobs, PM completion, recalls, Installations. Leads and cultivates a culture of GE Values and integrity.
    Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface for the customer from Order through life cycle of the products for projects and service related activities.
    Proactively identifies customer needs and develops and implements customer specific solutions.
    Manages an Operations team including, but not restricted to, Field Engineers, Services Leaders, Installation specialists, Clinical apps specialists and other functions, driving service delivery and customer projects execution excellence which continuously surpasses customer expectations and deliver productivity.
    Leverages internal relationships to enhance business performance and customer experiences. Promotes a safe working environment and ensures compliance with applicable EHS policies and procedures.
    Drives change initiatives as required to improve efficiencies and execute on business commitments.

    Qualifications/Requirements:    
    Master’s degree (Engineering) with at least 5-8 years of leadership experience in a technical environment. OR
    5- 8 years experince field sales or field service or OTR experience
    Proven experience leading a team, managing customer relationships and/or managing a P&L or comparable business unit.
    Ability to develop and execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives
    Proven leadership and ability to orchestrate resources and motivate teams
    Experience in managing a large P&L/ business unit within large matrix organization
    Proven ability to influence and drive change through exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    Understanding of customer/marketplace and drivers that influence customer behavior
    Previous direct report management/leadership experience
    Ability to resolve complex issues within functional area and/or area of expertise
    Ability to develop and execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives
    Direct customer relationship experience
    Proven ability to effectively communicate across a distributed workforce

    Technical ECDP - Healthcare

    Role Summary/Purpose:    
    GE Africa’s Technical Early Career Development Program (ECDP) is a newly created 24 month leadership program designed to give recent university/college graduates challenging work assignments, training and development, and exposure to leadership. The program combines hands on experience with formal classroom training to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to become leaders in GE.

    Essential Responsibilities:    
    Technical ECDP is open to recent university/college graduates in Engineering. As a Technical ECDP you will be going through an intensive training and on-the-job learning throughout the program.

    The GE Healthcare Technical ECDP Field Services Engineer Role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives, ensuring Customer Satisfaction and maintaining all equipment models specific to a modality or modalities in the assigned area. GE Healthcare has products and solutions in Patient care, Medical diagnostics and Imaging.

    Key Responsibilities/essential functions include:

    Technical: Maintains all models specific to a modality in the assigned area including but not limited to Life Care Systems, UltraSounds Systems, Xray, CT, MR, MI etc.. Electronic/Mechanical: Total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-symptom problems. Customer satisfaction: Daily interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction to primary customers.
    LCT: Assists in Account Sales visits; identify Sales opportunities and communicate to account management teams.
    Business growth: Assists in the growth and direction of business in his/her geographic area. Productivity: Responsible for Warranty and PMS contract cost control.
    Administration: Responsibly completes all administration tasks on time.
    Ensures timely completion of FMIs and PMS inspections documentation for assigned accounts. Installation: Plays a leading role in complex and multifuntional rooms. Shares best practices. Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.
    Qualifications/Requirements:     University Degree Clinical/ Biotechnical / Electrical Engineering.

    Proficiency in English
    Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
    Demonstrated team player
    Confident self-starter who has demonstrated drive
