    Legal Officer/ Admin and Document Manager

    Description:

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Responsible for maintaining clients records from indication of interest to Registration of Sublease and monitoring various court cases. It involves client engagements, keeping financial records of clients and audit of the plots in various gardens, monitoring compliance with ELGC Guidelines during construction and liaising with the various law firms for PEIWA court case.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor court cases and liaise with law Firms handling the cases.
    • Provide legal advice on legal issues, potential liabilities and possible course of action
    • Draft and review contract Agreements
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory Agencies
    • Document and management of client information from Indication of interest to collection of registered land documents.
    • · Compile financial reports and updates of all clients, ensures proper documentation of soft and physical copies of documents i.e. receipts, offers, application forms etc.
    • Preparation of compliance reports e.g Scuml report (EFCC) and provision of monthly financial update for the Finance Unit.
    • Monitoring of compliance with the provisions of the ELGC Guidelines especially during Construction.
    • Liaise with Government agencies on land to produce necessary documentation when required – survey plan, registration of sublease agreements
    • Preparation and execution of sublease agreements.
    • Liaise with the Bank for production of necessary documents
    • Liaise with Ministry of Lands for registration of Client documents
    • Engage with clients on monthly basis via phone calls and emails.

    Desired Skills and Qualifications:

    • Must be a Lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar
    • Must have not less than 3 years’ experience in active Law/Litigation Practice
    • Must be computer literate and have adequate knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
    • Self-motivated and innovative
