    Head - Deposit/Liability Generation

     

    Job Summary
    This role has the oversight responsibility to manage the strategy around mobilizing funds for the organization. The individual will manage the vision of driving retail campaign for deposits. He/ She breaks down deposit strategy to team for implementation.

    Responsibilities
    ·         Investors’ relationship management.
    ·         Manage the target savings product of the Organization and grow the business in that regard
    ·          Approve negotiated rates not more than 1% above applicable rate stated in Rate guide for N20m Deposits and below
    ·          Monitor in-flows & outflows in the deposit accounts to ensure timely notification to customers
    ·         Advise on funds transfers to deposit customers (interest, part-liquidations and full-liquidations
    ·         Liaise with Finance Department for funding strategy
    ·         Liaise with Legal Department for contracts documentations
    ·         Ensure that rate waivers by Directors are documented accurately
    ·         Market scanning for money market movement in the industry and provision of timely update to Directors & other decision makers
    ·         Monthly analysis of Deposit structure and concentration
    ·         Periodic process review
    ·         Ensure that an updated investment register is managed
    ·         Any other task as advised by management

    Qualification and Experience:
    ·         Banking experience with ability to sell personality rather than brand
    ·         Minimum 6 years in a supervisory capacity
    ·         Degree from an accredited University

    ·         Must be able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
    ·         Must possess relationship building, negotiation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

    ·         Must be able to provide clear, direct, authoritative direction to others.
    ·         Must have excellent communication skills both, verbal and written.
    ·         Must have demonstrated management ability.
