    Chief Finance Officer

    Responsibilities/Requirements

    • Complements the Managing Director/CEO in strategic planning and decision making, leveraging on financial and technical expertise which requires strategic thinking and good communication skills; Candidate should
    • Be able to work closely and effectively with the CEO in sharing and supporting the CEO in shaping the organisation's strategy.
    • Have the ability to adopt a business strategy to maintain and strengthen partnerships with others, both inside and outside the organisation, who can provide information, assistance and support to the development of the organisation's operations.
    • Understand the strategic business drivers and key issues affecting the organization and its impact on stakeholders and users of financial statements
    • Manage capital, funding needs and cash flows, balancing shareholders' returns and risks, for achieving the organisation's objectives.
    • Be knowledgeable on financial statements' reporting in line with the regulatory requirements and best practice.
    • Be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or equivalent.
    • Have a first degree in any discipline; a second degree could be desirable.
    • Ten (plus) years' experience.
    • Experience could be varied which could include that in a professional accounting firm.
    • Insurance industry experience is not requisite.

    Head - Internal Audit

    Responsibilities/Requirements

    • Will be responsible for developing and leading the Internal Audit function in a professional manner which seeks to ensure that it is effective and commands a high standard of respect both internally and externally; Candidate should
    • Be able to evaluate an organisation's management of risk.
    • Have knowledge of auditing practices and principles.
    • Have the ability to collect and evaluate evidences from an organisation's information systems, practices, and operations and determine if the information systems are safeguarding the information assets, maintaining data integrity, and operating effectively and efficiently to achieve the
    • organisation's business objectives.
    • Have multi industry experience, which could include insurance and/or experience in a professional accounting firm.
    • Be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or equivalent.
    • Have a first degree in any discipline.
    • Ten (plus) years' experience is considered adequate.
    • Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors or any of its affiliate bodies will be an advantage.

    Assistant Manager

    • Have knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
    • Have knowledge and experience of accounting computer applications.
    • Be able to prepare financial management reports.
    • Be capable of generating accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes and monitor the implementation and maintenance of
    • accounting control procedures.
    • Be able to resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
    • Have the ability to collect and analyze financial information, recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial issues.
    • Have a minimum of seven years' experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice.
    • Be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or equivalent.
    • Have a first degree in any discipline.
