    Plant Maintenance Superintendent

    To supervise and coordinate all maintenance operations for all yard equipment and yard facilities to ensure maximum use of the equipment, minimise downtime and prolong equipment life.

    Position Requirements

    1. To control all maintenance activities on the Snake Island Yard.
    2. Ensure optimum equipment maintenance.
    3. Enforce high standards of equipment management consistent with company requirements.
    4. Ensure all equipment documentation and maintenance records are kept current and up to date.
    5. Develop and implement equipment training programmes.
    6. Develop and maintain an inventory system, recording expenditure, maintenance, spares, and repairs.
    7. Regularly review expenditure, procurement of parts, tools and equipment needed to maintain and repair yard equipment.
    8. Training of mechanics and technicians to internationally recognised standards.
    9. Source, develop and manage subcontractors as required and monitor their work for quality and cost effectiveness.
    10. Extensive experience of current techniques and safety practices in repair and maintenance of heavy plant and equipment.
    11. Able to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment accurately with minimum downtime.
    12. Able to plan and implement repair and maintenance programmes, prepare related reports and maintain accurate records.
    13. Fluent spoken and written English.
    14. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, for dealing with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles, as well as being able to fit in as a team player..
    15. Proven experience of supervising and coordinating the activities of a multi-discipline team.
    16. Good communication and team building skills at all levels - able to lead and gain the respect of contractor and 3rd parties.

    Maintenance & Reliability Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

        Responsible for ensuring that the Maintenance and Reliability section has a clearly defined strategy, structure and appropriate processes in place to provide the correct level of support for the management of a wide variety of maintenance, reliability, inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management technologies to ensure that the Maintenance & Asset Integrity Management Programs are executed with optimal effectiveness.
        Demonstrate lead management commitment to the HSSE Policies and to the HSE MS.
        Actively participate in all HSE initiatives to support the delivery of zero accidents and incidents.
        Manage interfaces and work collaboratively with the other departments such as Facilities, Asset Management, SCM, HSE and contractors.
        Manage the planning, implementing and co-ordinating Asset Integrity Management Systems, Corrosion Management & annual inspection programme of onshore & offshore assets liaising with Operations, Asset Management, HSE and Facilities.
        Develop application and fully implement risk and reliability management techniques, like RBI, RCM and IPF.
        Responsible for the 5-year Integrity plan i.e. Hardware Barrier Reviews and FAIRs.
        Provide Technical Authority support for discipline engineering, relevant maintenance disciplines and projects, and manage change control. Maintain healthy and competent capability of TAs.#
        Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track program performance and KPMI (Key Parameters for Mechanical Integrity) Program where applicable for the Business Area.
        Maximize fixed equipment uptime to optimize shutdowns and extend turnaround intervals in compliance to regulatory requirements and identify resources to support troubleshooting of fixed equipment recurrent problems and apply root case analysis (RCA) practices to equipment failure investigations.
        Support the implementation of production uptime programs including Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
        Lead the Degradation Manuals Program:
        Ensure adequate, consistent working documents are in place for all plants and equipment
        Ensure Asset Integrity Engineers have ownership of their Degradation Manuals

    Requirements Maintenance Reliability Manager

        Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Corrosion or Metallurgy.
        20+ years' experience required in the oil & gas industry both offshore and onshore.
        Experience in West Africa is a must.
        Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, standards and maintenance planning
        Knowledge and experience in Pressure vessel, pipeline and storage tank integrity management

    Materials & Corrosion Engineer

    Provide material selection and corrosion management advice to Operations and Project Teams, as a consultant in materials with focus on materials/Metallurgy.

    Operations Readiness & Assurance Engineer

    Position Description

    To provide operations input to Engineering Projects and ensure facilities designed/constructed are in accordance with agreed specifications and functional requirements.
    To ensure that new designs and alterations/modifications to existing installations are inherently safe and in accordance with operational requirements and philosophy.
    Apply Operation Readiness & Assurance (OR&A) and Coordinate flawless start-up of new projects.

    Develop Operational Cost (Opex) models to be used for life cycle costing and sound economic arguments.
    Develop and utilize Key OR&A related Performance Indicators for tracking achievement and defining acceptance criteria.
    Develop and implement the Operational Readiness Assurance process for all relevant projects.- Conduct HAZIDS, HAZOPS, Pre Start Audits and OR&A Reviews in support of the assurance processes.
    Maintain the OR&A tools & systems, i.e. updating the Lessons Learnt and Best Practices database as required;- Contribute to the development or enhancement of the OR&A standards, processes, tools & systems, incorporating any Lessons Learnt and Best Practices.

    A good understanding of the hydrocarbon production cycle, Operations Readiness and Assurance process, Engineering standards and quality assurance and corporate management system and strategies in order to conduct the business effectively.

    JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Maintains PIMS (Pipeline Integrity Management System) Manual and Procedures and all technical specifications for pipeline inspection activities. Such manuals shall include the inspection scopes, procedures, programmes, the list of pipelines under a database form to be computerized and the inspection reporting forms.
    • Maintains and provide technical support for the PIMS integrity elements. Act as resource for corrosion mitigation, defect analysis, monitoring and inspection of pipelines
    • Conducts annual risk assessments of pipelines using Company risk manual and software.
    • Develops Integrity Management Plan for pipelines.
    • Maintains, updates and uses data in company software to view, load inspection data, assess anomalies, conduct corrosion assessment of defects.
    • Participates in assessing, monitoring and mitigation of other pipeline defects such as wall loss, free spans, etc.
    • Participates in preparing technical specifications for Inspection Contracts.
    • Establish call-out contracts/agreements for PIMS, In Line Inspection, Underwater Inspection and geophysics surveys of pipelines.
    • Plans and executes intelligent pigging, ROV and geophysics survey of sea lines.
    • Assumes Contract administrator role for minor contracts and coordinates pipeline inspections and remedial works.
    • Identifies, evaluates and implements appropriate new technologies
    • Evaluates inspection reports from the site inspection reports or Contractors reports and issues recommendations to supervisor.
    • Assists in preparation of budget plan for Pipeline activities and report progress and variances.
    • Takes part in planning and organizing pipeline repairs when required at the minimum feasible interval.

    Experience in pipeline risk assessment & mitigation, fitness for service, feature assessment, using International standards (ASME, API, NACE and DNV) will be an asset.
    Knowledge of Cathodic Protection, NDT techniques, failure analysis, including corrective action will be an advantage.
    Experience in use of asset management tools, and inspection data management systems, will be an advantage.
    Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
    Previous experience working with a pipeline operator will be an advantage.

    Senior Pipeline Engineer

        Co-ordinate the pipeline construction engineering and constructability aspects of projects to ensure that objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule with available construction equipment, assets and resources.
        Monitor and review Contractors pipeline engineering effort, ensure constructability and make recommendations to Senior Engineering Co-ordinator.
        Draft/ review/ approve the pipeline route survey and pipelay work processes.
        Prepare the documentation required by the necessary regulatory bodies with special reference to the pipeline route survey and laying works.
        Prepare and maintain the BOD for the pipeline project in order to ensure that all disciplines work to consistent and up-to-date information. The BOD will be maintained in a "current" condition throughout the project phases by regular review and updates.
        Develop specifications for material selection, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and operation of the various pipelines in service with Company.
        Maintain pipeline records of all existing pipelines in order to avoid unplanned pipeline crossings, etc.
        Co-ordinate land acquisitions and secure pipeline right of way (ROW) easement.
        Co-ordinate and develop pipeline engineering plans and specifications including pig launchers and receivers, leak detection systems and flow measurements.
        Ensure that Addax quality control procedures are being followed while performing the various tasks on the project as per QMS and PQP.
        Perform construction engineering calculations for onshore and offshore pipelines, in accordance with international codes and standards, good engineering practice and specific project requirements.
        Interact with other disciplines as required for design development on projects and with Contractors / Vendors / PSC department. Co-ordinate with other lead engineers for interdisciplinary tasks.
        Identify issues that impede project progress and report to the Senior Engineering Co-ordinator.
        Prepare and present man-hour estimates, PEP and weekly reports, progress reports, etc as required.
        Technically evaluate and specify equipment and services associated with pipeline route survey, pipeline installation, PLEM installation, sub-sea mattress installation, subsea pipeline crossing construction, etc.
        Ensure the implementation of HSE requirements throughout all the phases of pipeline system design.
        To participate in HAZOP's and other key design reviews.
        Co-ordinate and maintain pipelines environmental assessment studies and developing mitigation strategies.
        Identify new methodology of work process required for higher productivity.
        Carry out conceptual studies, including techno-economic feasibility studies for optimum pipeline design development.
        Provide offshore pipelay barge engineering support as well as other interdisciplinary support should the requirement arise.
        Carry out site visits, offshore and onshore, as required, to confirm that the works is being executed by Contractor as specified in the Contract and with optimum planning.
        Monitor and approve as-built documentation prepared by construction contractor, perform walk-throughs where necessary and prepare close-out reports.
        May occasionally be required to act in the capacity of consultant and produce discreet work package deliverables.
        To provide input to Front End/Conceptual/Detail Engineering studies with respect to pipeline design, constructability and operating issues.

        University Engineering Degree (Pipeline) - 2nd Class Honours or better.
        Minimum fifteen (15) years relevant oil industry experience 10 of which should be with an oil industry pipeline installation contractor at least 5 years must be with an offshore pipelay contractor in the role of construction engineering support and analysis.
        Must have worked as a pipeline construction engineer/offshore field engineer/senior pipeline engineer and have been involved in both onshore and offshore projects. Preference will be given to candidates with previous Operator experience.
        Must be used to working in a multi-discipline environment.
        Valid offshore survival certificate is a plus.
        Must have extensive experience of Offpipe, Caesar2 and similar construction engineering analysis software for construction support engineering including pipelay analysis ( static and dynamic), davit lift analysis, single point lift analysis, riser stalk-on and installation analysis, subsea pipeline crossing design/analysis, pipeline start-up and laydown analysis, spool & riser lifting analysis, PLEM installation analysis, and all associated method statements, procedures, specifications, etc.
