    Clearing Agent

    Responsibilities

    • Expedite and route movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments in airline, train, and trucking terminals, and shipping docks.  
    • Handles documentation related to the shipments, including insurance forms and dispatch forms.   Ensure that the shipment is compliant with current port agency regulations and government legislations.   Monitor the transfer of containers from the port to warehouse and terminal.  
    • Handle payment of clearing cheques, duty, shipping and terminal.  
    • Serve as the main communication channel between the client and the Nigeria Customs Service.   Develop logistics used to track changes and ensure delivery of goods.  
    • Ensure clearance of goods within stipulated time and avoid demurrage. 
    • Secure gate processing for Customs.   
    • Arrange for customs and other unit for examination.

    Requirements

    Experience 

    5 Years - 10 Years  with sound knowledge of Nigeria Customs Service legislations. Knowledge of Principles and Methods for Moving People or Goods by Air, Rail, Sea, Or Road, Including the Relative Costs and Benefits. 

    Knowledge of Local and International Geography  Knowledge of Principles and Processes for Providing Customer and Personal Services. This Includes Customer Needs Assessment, Meeting Quality Standards for Services, And Evaluation of Customer Satisfaction. 

    Must be willing to work with flexible time schedule

    Accountant

    Responsibilities

    • Regularly Prepare, Develop and Analyse Standard/Non-Standard Accounting Reports and Statements, Reflecting Detailed Financial Data, Forecasts and Budget Variances.  
    • Process Payroll Redistributions.   Issue Invoices to Customers; Issue Monthly Customer Statements; Update and Maintain Customer Files.
    • Investigate Reporting Discrepancies / Anomalies and Communicate Issues as They Arise in A Timely Manner.  
    • Develop, Implement, Modify and Document Records and Accounting Systems.  
    • Establish Records of Accounts and Input Entries into Proper Accounts.  
    • Ensures Accurate Data Is Provided in A Timely and Effective Manner for Management Visibility of Program Financial Health.  
    • Responsible for Vat and Other Tax Reporting, Filing and Reconciliation.

    • Support the Planning and Budgeting Team During the Planning and Budgeting Processes by Compiling Ad-Hoc Reports and Schedules.  
    • Assist with Audits.  
    • Ensure Compliance with All Internal Processes.  
    • Create Detailed Narratives of All Procedures and Accounting Policies to Maintain and Strengthen Internal Quality Controls.

    Requirements

    Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance and Public Administration. Certifications  Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant. Membership  ICAN.

    Experience  

    Minimum of 6 years of experience.

    Knowledge 

    Exceptional Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, Cost Accounting and Cost Control Principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial and Federal Accounting Standards, Cost Accounting Standards, Managerial Accounting, Financial Analysis.

    Transportation Operations Manager

    Responsibilities 

    • Responsible for The Day to Day Direction and Oversight of The Transportations Operations Department, Including, But Not Limited to Operations, Maintenance, Safety/Compliance, Equipment and Personnel.   Responsible for The Justification, Specification, Selection and Purchase of New Trucks, Trailers and Other Necessary Equipment and Systems.   
    • Responsible for Managing Assets and Available Business in Such A Way as To Minimize Operational Expenses While Maximizing Equipment Utilization.
    • Supervise Key Terminal Staff to Monitor Operations Ensuring Workload Is Completed Per Customer Expectation Efficiently, Safely and Compliant with All Applicable Regulations.  
    • Partner with Logistics Department, Business Developing Department, Terminal Operations Department and Other Departments in The Supply Chain to Ensure Smooth Operations. 
    • Coordinate with Company Mechanic Workshop Team to Keep Trucks and Trailers Maintained, Safe, And Operating Per Federal, State and Local Law While Managing Associated Costs. 
    • Partner with Accounting Staff and Business Developing Team to Monitor Customer Payment.  
    • Serve as A Member of The Corporate Leadership Team by Participating in Regular Meetings and Projects Related to The Operation of The Company as A Whole  
    • Plan Deliveries by Organizing Truck Loads and Routing Schedules.  
    • Oversees the Preparation of Delivery Documents for Truckers.   
    • Negotiate and Bargain Transportation Prices.  
    • Schedule Daily and Weekly Routes.

Develop and Communicate Informative Presentations and Strategies for Stakeholders and Managers to Gain Understanding and Consensus.
    • Ensure Compliance with Company Policies, Systems and Procedures.   Ensure Sure That the Procedures/System of Operation That is Used in The Daily Running of The Company’s Business Is in Line with Current Transportation Technology Systems Standard.
