Job Purpose:

• To present facilitative, well prepared, organised, and clear lectures in a classroom environment and demonstrate and instruct in purpose built workshops in the following disciplines: HVAC, Construction
• To HVAC technicians and building construction artisans consistent with the institute's syllabus and policies.

General Requirements:

• Proficiency in mathematics
• Proficiency in the English language
• 5+ years' experience working as a professional HVAC technician
• 7+ years' technical experience working in the construction field.
• Proficient in the use of computers & programs such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Good coaching, mentoring and interpersonal skills.
• Effective written, verbal communication & Organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety codes

Knowledge & Skills Reguirement:

• Must have proven advanced experience working on and installing the following;
• Air conditioning split systems, refrigeration condensing units, evaporators and chillers.
• Reclaim, pressure test, leak check, vacuum and recharge refrigerant. 
• Cut and bend copper pipe, braze copper pipe and wiring of refrigerant controls.
• Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Samsung, Panasonic and Toshiba systems.
• 407C, 134A, 404A and 410A refrigerants

Knowledge & Skills Reguirement:

• Must have a good general knowledge of methods and practices, tools and materials used in trades and vocations of Commercial/Residential Construction; Health & Safety
• Basic building code requirements
• Hand and power tools
• Surveying, setting and marking out, taking and transferring of levels
• Formwork; shuttering (columns, beams, and slabs)
• Block laying; Mixes and ratios, erect blocks vertical and horizontal
• Plastering; mixes and ratios, external, internal and on ceilings, application of various coats and finishes
• Tiling; preparing walls and floors, marking and working out quantities
• Painting; preparation, coats and finishes, internal and external on diverse surface types.
