    Locksmith (Contract)

    Job Summary

    • A Locksmith with Hilton Hotels and Resorts maintains, repairs, and installs mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility to ensure proper operation and security.
    • As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections.

    What will I be doing?
    A Locksmith will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Inspect, analyse dysfunction and repair mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility.
    • Work throughout the facility including shop work and must be able to climb stairs, stoop, grasp tools, visually inspect, and have good finger dexterity in order to repair locks.
    • Perform preventive maintenance on electronic locking systems and key encoders to ensure proper and reliable operation.
    • Cut metal keys, re-pin lock to a master key system, pick locks and repairs or installs various types of mechanical locks in wood or metal doors or on furniture and equipment.
    • Produce mechanical and electronic keys and maintain security control of keys.
    • Maintain log of all keys issued and to whom.
    • Interrogate electric locking system as required.
    • Multitask in other sections when required.

    • Knowledge of mechanical locking devices, Safe-Lock and/or other electronic lock systems including maintenance and repair.
    • Basic English language communication skills in order to communicate with customers and co-workers and fully comprehend job assignments.
    • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers some of who will require patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and solve customer concerns.
    • Ability to act independently while analysing data and drawing conclusions from written and computer generated materials pertaining to the master key system.

    Carpenter

    Job Summary

    • A carpenter with Hilton Hotels and Resorts is expected to construct, repair, maintain, and dismantle structures, furniture, woodwork and otherrelated items such as: doors, folding walls, windows, ceilings, and hardwarethroughout the facility to ensure an attractive and well-maintained facility.
    • As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections.

    What will I be Doing?

    • A facilities carpenter will be responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards:
    • Visually inspect/diagnose problems, take measurements and make necessary adjustments to items such as door hardware to ensure safe smooth operation of guestrooms, public space and back of the house facilities.
    • Maintain and repair doors, furniture, hardware, windows, hang art work and headboards etc.
    • Perform  shop work to repair or build furniture. Identify types and grades of wood, measure and be familiar with hardware materials available to the carpentry trade.
    • Multitask in other sections when called upon.

    Generator Operator

    Job Summary

    • A Generator Operator with Hilton Hotels and Resorts is expected to monitor, maintain, repair and carry out the preventive maintenance program on the hotel's UPS generators and public utility supply.
    • As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task in other sections.

    What will I be Doing?

    • A Generator Operator will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Considerable knowledge of UPS generator including repair and maintenance and basic electric and mechanical skills.
    • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on all UPS generators and related equipment, including making repairs such as replacing mechanical seals, re-packing pumps and valves, replacing bearings and belts, checking for proper alignment, repairing fan coil units, brazing and soldering, calibrating controls, working on pressure vessels, replacing piping and fittings.
    • Maintain appropriate record of preventive maintenance and repairs.
    • Interact with the Operating Engineer and assist in start-up, shut down and operation of all UPS generator equipment.
    • Visually inspect gauges, dials and mechanical equipment, make basic mathematical calculations, and move and climb on all types of uneven surfaces.
    • Multitask in other sections when called upon

    What are We Looking for?

    • A Generator Operator serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Hotel, serving our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follows.
    • HND/Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • At least 1 year of similar experience working in a complex facility.
    • Considerable knowledge of UPS generator including repair and maintenance and basic electric and mechanical skills.
    • Skill in the use of hand and power tools (drills, hoisting equipment, reciprocating saw, and pressure washing equipment); dial indicators and testing equipment for air, water balancing and control calibration.
    • Basic mathematical skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations.
    • Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
    • Basic English language communication skills in order to communicate with customers and co-workers fully understand job assignments and follow manufacturer instructions.
    • Ability to multi task.

    Painter- Room Perfect (Contract)

    Job Summary

    • A Painter with Hilton Hotels and Resorts maintains and repairs painted, wall covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, furniture and equipment throughout the facility in order to project a neat and well-maintained appearance.
    • As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections

    What will I be doing?
    A Painter will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Prepare and paint surfaces of building structures, furniture and equipment using proper Application techniques. Measure lengths of surfaces to determine quantity of paint needed. Plaster or spackle surfaces, mix paint colors to match existing colors and apply paint to all building and equipment surfaces with brushes, rollers and spray guns. Assign tasks, supervise, train, discipline and coordinate subordinates.
    • Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces throughout the facility. Hang vinyl, paper, fabric and foil wall coverings of various weights.
    • Maintain and repair caulked, grouted and masonry surfaces throughout the facility. Requires caulking, grouting, plastering and setting tiles, cinder block/brick and cement work.
    • Prepare and maintain wood surfaces requiring staining, varnishing and lacquering. Apply alcohol or water stains and develop a finished product from unstained wood or existing finished wood.
    • Multi-task in other sections when required.

    Requirements
    A Painter serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Hotel, serving our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follows:

    • Considerable knowledge of paint, varnish, stain, enamels, lacquers, wall coverings, masonry work and other related products as well as application and mixing procedures of such products.
    • 1 year of related work experience.
    • Working knowledge of basic hand tools and other equipment including: brushes, rollers, scrapers, sandpaper, spray guns, lifts, etc.
    • Considerable knowledge of OSHA standards and application for working with chemicals.
    • Basic English language communication skills in order to fully comprehend job assignments, read and understand manufacturer
    • Ability to multi-task in other sections.
