    Quality Control Clerk

    Key Responsibilities
    • Ensure proper review and risk assessment methods, revisions, training/awareness and storage of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in accordance with ISO 9000 standards are maintained by relevant departments.
    • Assist in the record keeping ofinjuries, the use and/or damages of container handling equipment and facilities, and environmental damages.
    • Provision of reports to management.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Who we are looking for
    • 2 years post degree experience in HSE

    Yard Planner

    Key Responsibilities
    • Effectively plan yard layouts for IMPORTS segregated by ICD’s/Bill of lading/Dangerous cargo/OOG and general imports, EXPORTS, EMPTIES and Transhipment containers within the parameters of the set yard specification.
    • Close monitoring of the yard during the discharge to ensure that all the containers as received from the vessel have been confirmed and has been confirmed with a yard position.
    • Close monitoring of the yard during the loading operation to ensure smooth feeding from the yard to the vessel minimizing re-handling in the yard
    • Checking of the exports stacks including empties in order to have a perfect preparation for the vessels.
    • Controlling and planning the complete yard process in order to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
    • Create and maintain the yard setup and planning to accommodate an average of 18 to 20 crane lifts per hour and maximum utilization of yard equipment.
    • Allocate yard ranges for exports per vessel/voyage before the gates opening.
    • Monitor that the equipments are available in the right location at the yard.
    • Reduce redundant moves to less than 5% of the total movement.
    • Check and support an accurate and efficient information flow on the terminal related to all activities.
    • Prepare the Daily Yard Work Plans related to discharges, receiving exports, housekeeping etc.
    • Maintain daily reports on the yard utilization.
    • Weekly reporting of long standing containers (Full and Empty) to the lines.
    • Close monitoring of the discharge ensuring that all the units discharged have been updated.
    • Constant monitoring of the yard and arranging the house keeping as required.
    • Yard inventory done to verify accuracy as and when there are no vessel in port.
    • Checking for the hanging containers in the yard (both imports/exports and empties).
    • Monitor the import blocks and compress the yard basis to reduce scattered containers and create space.
    • Perform other duties as may be assigned

    Who we are looking for
    • A University degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or related discipline.
    • Requires at least two or more years of previous experience as a vessel or yard planner for a container terminal operation. Previous experience as a dispatcher in a container terminal environment will be an advantage.

    Vessel Planner

    Key Responsibilities
    • Liaise with the line in having the MOVINS received within the dead lines as stipulated.
    • Prepare, execute, and monitor working cranes program / sequence in executing the vessel’s discharge and load plans.
    • Prepare the required set of documents and handed over to execution, neat and error free.
    • Manage and control the execution of the vessel operation.
    • Focusing on the optimal equipment deployment and utilization.
    • Filing and housekeeping of planning related papers in accordance with the Standard operating procedures ( SOP’s ).
    • Maintain that all vessels receive the final paper work in a timely manner.
    • Meet the vessel C/off on arrival and provide loading plans and obtain approval well in time. Coordinating with the lines for any major changes requested by the vessel.
    • During the operation close monitoring of the vessel and advice Shift Manager of any required adjustments to crane, sequence, crane allocations, etc in accordance with the changing work priorities.
    • Participate in close team work with the yard planners to ensure an effective overall terminal planning is maintained to high standards internally and externally.
    • Close monitoring of the live updates in the system during discharge and loading operation thro LXE’s. If in case where LXE’s fail ensure that the manual updates are received on time to timely updates.
    • Preparation and distribution of final stow plan documentation (hard copy or EDI) for vessel and lines upon completion of operation.
    • Upon completion of operation have the vessel files closed immediately and send out the post ops file to the agents.
    • Undertake all and any related vessel duties within the capabilities as required

    Who we are looking for
    • Requires at least two or more years of previous experience as a vessel or yard planner for a container terminal operation.   • Previous experience as a dispatcher in a container terminal environment will be an advantage.
    • Requires sound knowledge of container vessel stowage and stability criteria

    • MS Office proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
