    Corporate Communications Advisor

    Job Profile

    • The Corporate Communications’ Advisor supports the Corporate Communications team to deliver on its mandate that includes internal/external communications, managing SFH’s corporate reputation and brand, organizing product launches, supporting the development of the communication strategy, developing corporate social responsibility initiatives, facilitating positive donor perception and crises management.

    Job-role
    The Corporate Communications Advisor will be expected to perform the following roles detailed below:

    • Managing external facing events and materials
    • External crises management
    • Internal communications
    • Media relations
    • Support the development of program/project communication materials and strategies

    Qualifications/Experience

    • Must possess a minimum of a first degree in Mass Communications or a related field and a relevant Master’s degree will be an added advantage
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience spanning the communications, administration, logistics and protocol functions
    • Registration with a relevant professional association will be an added advantage

    Policy Advisor

    Job Profile

    • The Policy Advisor leads on SFH policy and advocacy engagement on health system strengthening initiatives including health financing, Human resources for Health and health service organization agenda  geared towards the achievement of universal health coverage in Nigeria.
    • This includes developing the organisation’s advocacy strategy on these issues drawing from our extensive programme experience over the years, leading the  embedment, implementation and review of this strategy working with the broader programme functional areas.

    Job Role
    The role of the Policy Advisor include:

    • Policy and advocacy strategy development, embedment, implementation and monitoring
    • Capacity development of SFH staff, CSOs, networks and coalition partners for policy and advocacy work
    • lead SFH policy engagement on universal health access and health systems’ with focus on health system financing, Human resource for health and development of service delivery models including public private partnerships
    • Policy research, analysis and publications
    • Represent SFH in major policy processes and technical working groups

    Qualifications/Experience

    • Must possess advanced university education, preferably a Master's Degree or a PhD in Health, Governance, Science or Public Policy
    • Over 5 years' hands on experience of leading and working in the health advocacy space in Nigeria
    • Strong experience of health system advocacy issues including health financing and human resource for health
    • Experience of capacity building on advocacy for civil society and citizens
    • Experience of working with government, private sector and donors from a critical engagement perspective in the shared quest to achieve universal health coverage
    • Good understanding of public-private partnerships and health/social development issues in Nigeria
    • Management experience and ability to work in a collegiate system
    • Strong analytical ability and report writing skills
    • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and flexibility, drawing on previous practice and policies whilst creating new and innovative solutions that enhance SFH’s policy impact

    Other required competencies:

    • Integrity, excellent communication skills, high level interpersonal and relationship management skills, strong leadership skills, ability to work under pressure, result oriented, advanced IT proficiency and highly innovative and creative.
