Consultant Nephrologist at The Limi Hospital Ltd Abuja

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

The Consultant Nephrologist(s) with relevant working experience.

Candidate should be computer proficient and have a sound relevant knowledge in general of nephrology, valuable sympathetic bedside manners, excellent communication skills with both parents and children, strong active listening skills and advanced problem solving abilities while being able to work in a team. Excellent use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is compulsory

JOB SUMMARY:

• Diagnose patients using the correct equipment in determining and evaluating the extent and nature of kidney disorders or injuries
• Must be able to use diathermy appliances, emanation tubes, cystoscopes, radium, catheters, and similar medical appliances where appropriate in treatment of patients with kidney ailments
• Perform dialysis or surgery on damaged kidneys and prescribe post-surgical maintenance medication
• Provision of quality counsel and education to patients on how to minimize the impact of a disease condition on health in line with world best practices in nephrological care
• Participation in Clinical/audit governance of assigned Medical Officers to nephrological unit
• Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes as well as Weekly Academic Learning activities limited to scope of practice
