Business Development Executives at a Leading Construction Company

The Role:

Supporting the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:

• Growing and managing an effective prospect pipeline in order to secure commercial income targets
• Building a network and sales funnel to improve the opportunities accessed by the company
• Driving key business development (BD) activities to convert opportunities into projects that will further the organization’s overall mission and goals
• Promoting, and building engagement among priority stakeholders in the industry
• Systematic review of all opportunities in order to prioritize BD and wider team resources most effectively
• Supporting the management on business growth and expansion initiatives
• Refining the company’s product and service offering to achieve a better business to market fit
• Deal management and the development of robust commercial practices
• Growing pipeline and providing regular pipeline updates to relevant Senior Officers

Requirements

1.    Essential:

• 5 – 8 years of experience in roles that have entailed building relationships with, and securing income from commercial – private and public partners
• Experience in structuring and managing collaborative projects in the construction industry and forming consortiums
• Experience in lead conversion and delivering against demanding income targets
• Well networked in relevant areas of construction and infrastructure industries
• Professionalism, resilience and self-awareness. Acting in a professional manner and showing determinations, drive and commitment at all times and particularly when faced with challenges and setbacks
• Ability to function independently and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment

2.    Desirable

• Experience in a similar role in construction/infrastructure services industry
• Strong academic background up to Masters Degree level
• Passionate about innovation and technology
• An insight into financial systems, funding mechanisms and closing deals
