  • Logistics Coordinator Needed At Human Capacity Development Consultants

    Logistics Coordinator

     

    Description:

    • Coordinate all logistics support to the FPSO operations ensuring that importation, clearing and forwarding of goods, personnel and goods transportation including warehousing, are carried out safely and efficiently
    • Coordinate crew handling / safe transfer from/ to the vessel arrangements. Booking of traveling arrangements including tickets, visa, hotels, and local transportation.
    • Liaising with crewing department in Oslo and immigration consultants to ensure that expiry dates for personnel Visa monitored
    • Work consistently to reduce import and logistics costs, including verifying the correctness of all invoices relating to logistics issues.
    • In cooperation with the Technical Coordinator, ensure that movements of all spare parts, stores and equipment are carried out efficiently
    • Maintain close links with logistics service providers for the offshore industry, if and when necessary, obtain additional services at cost-effective rate.
    • Liaising with relevant regulatory authorities (Customs, Immigration etc)
    • Responsible for tracking of shipments, transportation and arrangements of goods, equipment etc
    • Any other task or duty assigned by the Operation Manager

    Qualifications:

    • B.Sc, HND or Professional qualification with through background in Nigerian Law with respect to the offshore Oil and Gas, Marine, Shipping or Logistics.
    • Minimum of 5 years working experience in offshore Oil and Gas, Shipping or Logistics environment

    Document Controller

     

    Key tasks and Responsibilities
    The Document Controller has a variety of duties in Business Development, Project and operations, with focus on the following:

    • DC is responsible for all technical documentation whether BWO produced or received from suppliers, partners or clients using ProArc as principal document/information management tool. Or any other Information management system in use.
    • DC must ensure that all information is easily accessible so that all (including DCs) can do their work effectively and in a timely manner at all times
    • DC, in projects, is responsible for all information/documentation pertaining to the project including transmittal of administrative information if the client so requires. Most projects will have an Assistant or Secretary to deal with this type of information and DC must ensure that these know how to use, per today, ProArc, for registering incoming administrative information as well as outgoing information such as Letters, VOs etc.
    • DC is responsible for ensuring that all personnel are sufficiently familiar and comfortable in using the information/Documentation management system(s) – this is an on-going job
    • Project DC to follow to operation for a period
    • Ensure adherence to Document Control Procedures and Work Instructions
    • Knowledge of ‘filing’, numbering system and revision control
    • Ensure that deliverable are processed in a timely manner
    • Checking Document metadata before sending to internal and external recipients
    • Have knowledge of Company’s organisation and work

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of B.Sc/HND in relevant course
    • Desirable – experience from offshore projects as document controller
    • Familiarity with ProArc as document management tool is advantageous – knowledge of other EDMS systems can compensate
    • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role desirable
