  • Our client a new vocational academy in Lagos, Nigeria (first academic session starting soc with academic support from the World's foremost and prestigious hospitality academy Switzerland) will be established as a best-in-class vocational school for the Hospital industry with five principal areas of study:- Professional Cookery, Restaurant & Bar service Front Office and Housekeeping operations and Spa and wellness. The Academy encompass fully equipped classrooms and library, a pastry and a production kitchen training restaurant, a professional laundry as well as state of the art practical training facilities that include themed restaurants, bars, and a spa and wellness area.

    Student Industrial Relations [ S.I.R]

    The director SIR is directly responsible for marketing of the academy, co ordination of the internship programs and the management of the academic alumni relations. He/ She will represent the academy’s programs and learning philosophy outside the campuses to key stakeholders and potential sponsors of the academy

    Summary of Duties 
    •All pre-opening marketing activities of the Academy 
    •Marketing of the Academy after opening 
    •Management of student life - coaching, extracurricular activities and non-academic issues 
    •Development and co-ordination of an alumni centre 
    •Development and management of industry contacts 
     
    Qualification and Experience 
    • Graduate of Business/Marketing/Hospitality. 
    • Excellent user of MS Office, Presentation/Graphic tools coupled with strong presentation skills. 
    • Minimum 10 years experience in marketing & minimum 3 years of management experience. 
    • International experience preferred Hospitality experience advantage advantageous 
    • Strong project management, administration and people management skills. 
    • A committed leader with a strong 'no-excuses' results-orientation. 
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills . 
     
    Terms Offered 
    •             Reporting to Dean of Academy

    Senior Faculty Kitchen

    The Senior Faculty - Kitchen is directly responsible for the kitchen vocational programs, all operations related to the food production process at the Academy as well as all the practical outlets. He/she will directly supervise kitchen professors and instructors, guarantee course content relevance and its application in the operations of the Academy. 

    Summary of Duties 
    •             Co-ordination of the kitchen program's quality and content 
    •             Maintenance of relevant kitchen infrastructure 
    •             Resource planning, acquisition and control 
    •             Co-ordination with senior faculty members for learning efficiency optimization Production for external events organized at the Academy according to the Highest International Standards 
    •             Building and maintenance of relationships with industry key stakeholders in the catering & kitchen area to ensure relevance and visibility of the Academy 

    Qualification and Experience 
    •             A diploma or other professional qualification in Cookery 
    .A minimum of 10 years experience in the hospitality industry with globally recognized brands 
    •             A minimum of 3 years kitchen management experience, or 3 years kitchen training experience in a reputable academy 
    •             Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills coupled with strong presentations skills.

    Senior Faculty - Food & Beverage Service

    The Senior Faculty - Food & Beverage Service is directly responsible for the food and beverage vocational programs, all operations related to food and beverage services at the Academy, as well as the practical outlets. He/she will directly supervise food and beverage, professors and instructors, guarantee course content relevance and its application in the operations of the Academy. 

    Summary of Duties 
    •             Co-ordination of the food and beverage service programs' quality and content 
    •             Maintenance of relevant food and beverage infrastructure 
    •             Resource planning, acquisition and control

    A minimum of 3 years food and beverage management experience, or 3 years food and beverage training experience in a reputable academy

    Senior Faculty -Housekeeping

    The Senior Faculty - Housekeeping is directly responsible for the Housekeeping vocational programs, all operations related to housekeeping services at the Academy, as well as the practical outlets. He/she will directly supervise housekeeping professors and instructors, guarantee course content relevance and its application in the operations of the Academy. 
     
    Summary of Duties 
    - Co-ordination of the housekeeping programs' quality and content 
    - Maintenance of relevant housekeeping & laundry infrastructure 
    - Resource planning, acquisition and control 
    - Co-ordination with senior faculty members for learning efficiency optimization 
    - Service for external events organised at the Academy according to the highest international standards 
    - Building and maintenance of relationships with industry key stakeholders in the House keeping area to ensure relevance and visibility of the Academy  
     
    Qualification and Experience 
    - A diploma or other professional qualification in Housekeeping 
    - A minimum of 10 years experience in the hospitality industry with globally recognised brands 
    - A minimum of 3 years Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeper experience, or 3 years Housekeeping training experience in a reputable academy excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills coupled with strong presentation skills.

    Senior Faculty - Front Office
