    SENIOR LOGISTICS ADVISOR

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support Task Order 7 leadership in the development of technical strategies of in-country technical assistance to NMEP and Roll Back Malaria partners.
    • Support coordination between USAID I DELIVER PROJECT, the Government of Nigeria (GON), and President's Malaria Initiative (PM I) implementing partners to develop and
    • implement supply chain strategies and provide appropriate non-duplicative services that will ensure reliable procurement and distribution of essential malaria medicines and related commodities.
    • Work closely with JSI Nigeria management and country project leadership in managing relationships and maintaining routine communications with NMEP, PMI partners, and all other related stakeholders to support the integration of various technical areas of the project and making the most effective and efficient use of project resources.
    • Assist in the coordination and harmonization of team efforts in program execution, management, supervision as well as provide technical input into the design and implementation or assessment of routine malaria commodity supply chains.
    • Provide adequate oversight towards the strengthening of the MCLS tool for the generation of quality and reliable data that will inform programmatic decisions.
    • Participate in developing training curricula and in training federal and state level malaria control program and logistics officers implementing and monitoring adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Work with other advisors and short-term technical assistance (STTA) providers to support annual national quantification and procurement planning of commodities for malaria control, as well as facilitate transfer of skills to appropriate staff.
    • Facilitate planning and implementation of operations research and knowledge management efforts relating to malaria commodities (ACTs, ROTs, and LLlNs) by JSI.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

    Minimum Skills/Knowledge and Qualifications

    • Advanced clinical degree or a Master's degree in public health, pharmacy, logistics management with 5-7 years of professional experience in health programs,
    • preferably in health care supply chain management or A clinical/first degree in public health, pharmacy, logistics management with over 7 years of professional experience in health programs, preferably in health care supply chain management.
    • Multi-skilled with experience in malaria, HIV/AIDS, or TB programs strongly desired.
    • Experience in managing public health programs or projects in a developing country will be an added advantage.
    • Ability to monitor, supervise and build capacity in health service programs.
    • Extensive knowledgeof the Nigeria public health sector.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills are highly desired.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and to be self-manage.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability and willingness to travel to various parts of the country.

    LOGISTICS ADVISOR

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support and assist in the management of malaria commodities at the assigned State Central Medical Store and health facillties.
    • Conduct physical inventory of malaria commodities on weekly and monthly basis.
    • In collaboration with Logistics Advisors at the central level, provide technical support to MAPS and TSHIP to ensure that health facilities supported by MAPS!TSHIP are adequately
    • Lead the coordination of malaria and related health commodities supplies to health facilities to ensure appropriate and timely refill of facility commodities requirements based on the bimonthly facility stock reports submitted by the MAPS!TSHIP supported health facilities.
    • Serve as the link between the PMI implementing partners, SMOH and Global Fund partners and the state eMS to ensure commodities supplies to health facilities are
    • seamless.
    • Advocate for good malaria commodities logistics management practices in assigned state, local governments and communities.
    • Provide technical assistance and strengthen the capacity of government health personnel and other key malaria program stakeholders as appropriate, in the management of malaria commodity supply, distribution and management in assigned states.
    • Assist in facilitating PSM and malaria commodities bi-monthly review meetings, development of supply plan and distribution of malaria commodities.
    • Support and assist in the development of the master plan, micro plan, house to house registration, distribution, etc forthe mass LLlNs replacement campaign.
    • Write routine, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for submission to program funders.
    • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

    Minimum Skills/Knowledge and Qualification

    • Bachelor's Degree in pharmacy, public health, laboratory science, logistics management, or business administration.
    • 3-5 years of professional experience in health programs, preferably in an international health care supply chain management environment.
    • Specific experience in malaria, HIV/AIDS, orTB, programs strongly desired.
    • Demonstrated ability to monitor, supervise and provide support to health facilities in supply chain activities.
    • Extensive knowledge of the Nigerian public health sector.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills are highly desired.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and to be self-managing.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability and willingness to travel in the field.
