  • A multi-national Company with a solid reputation for high quality products, corporate governance and highly motivated workforce, requires the services of a Resident Medical Doctor in its Industrial Clinic in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

    Resident Medical Doctor

     

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
        (a)     MBBS with valid registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria:
        (b)     General Practice Physician with relevant experience in the management of trauma (including triaging) and medical emergencies, pediatric cases, gynecological cases, etc.
        (c)     Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) completed within six months prior to employment;
        (d)     Atleast 10-15 years post NYSC experience.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    a.    To provide a continuous on-site medical support to meet the needs of patients, consultants and nursing staff. This includes emergency procedures and routine medical services in all clinical areas,
    b.    The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will report to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO),
    c.    He/She will take calls as per the call duty roster,
    d.     He/She will carry out any other duties assigned by CMO from time to time.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE
    a.    More than average knowledge in general medicine with good diagnostic acumen,
    b.    To be completely familiar with emergency equipment, and demonstrate competence in emergency procedures, e.g. Rapid sequence intubation, emergency tracheostomy, needle thoracostomy, etc.
    c.    Practical knowledge of Occupational Health.

    OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
    a.    Demonstration of high level skill with interpersonal relationships and communications. Excellent interpersonal and management skills,
    b.    Good diagnostic acumen and sound knowledge of evidence-based medical practice,
    c.    Strong service philosophy and leadership skills,
    d.    Excellent critical thinking. deductive reasoning and decision making skills, Ability to work within a multicuttural environment,
    e.    Superior patient/customer service, ethics, and bedside manners, etc.
    f.    Good Computer skills.
