    Customer Service and Ticketing Agent

    Details:

    Job description:

    • Evaluating, Booking, Ticketing, Refunds, etc
    • Prospecting, qualifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities within a defined territory
    • Forecasting and tracking of sales opportunities
    • Achieving sales targets,
    • Understanding industry trends, product capabilities and customer requirements,
    • Manages Partner Relations with Airlines – Delta, Qatar, Emirates, Kenya Airlines, etc. in terms of deals, promos, discounts, etc…
    • Establishing executive level, long term customer relationship for future cross-sell and up-sell opportunities/other services required. E.g. hotel, pick up, Tour packages, Local Transport, visa, insurance, etc
    • Ensuring customer satisfaction  -
    • Post ticket customer service
    • Pre & Post Travel Customer Service
    • Provide daily Sales Report
    • Provide daily customer feedback form

    Requirements:

    • Must be educated to a degree level in related field
    • Minimum of 3 years in ticketing and customer service experience within either the tourism or hospitality industry.
    • IATA certified, Global distribution system (GDS) experience in atleast 2 of the 3 systems (Saber, Amadeus, Galileo)

    Head Tours and Packages

    PACKAGES / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

    • Design, develop and promote tour packages
    • Work on Product development
    • Provide content for packages
    • Provide content for write up and blogs
    • Create proposals to tour operators, hotels
    • Create proposal to prospective corporate clients.
    • Develop tourism products and services.
    • Strategic planning and implementation of travel products and itineraries for clients.
    • Writing of press releases
    • Attend seminars, conference on Travel and Tourism as a whole.
    • Liaise vendors on services and transactions.
    • Liaise with graphics team to produce attractive products/ works for the website and social media.
    • Write weekly report

    INSURANCE

    • Advising clients on the health insurance policy that suits there travel based on travel period.
    • Issuing of insurance policies from online platform.
    • Liaise with Account managers at the Insurance companies.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    • Call up clients as regards their request for travel services.
    • Accompany clients to the Embassy/Visa submission centres.
    • Call up clients when visas are ready.
    • Contact clients after their trip especially those who patronised our departmental services: hotels, visa and packages.
    • Offer complimentary visa advisory services to clients.
    • Liaise with hotel on behalf of clients when need be (e.g. delay in flight, pick up services).
    • Give client complimentary advice on choice of hotels, destinations or packages.
    • Follow-up on visa processing and pick up the visa where necessary.
    • Maintain good working relationships with vendors.
    • Assist clients in writing letters required for visa interviews

    VISA ADVISORY

    • Offer visa advisory services
    • Process Visas for clients
    • Fill visa forms for clients
    • Book visa appointment /interview dates for clients.
    • Carry out research on requirements and provide information on visas to destinations.
    • Visit High commissions / Embassies
    • Accompany the client to the visa appointment where necessary.
    • Scout for and develop working relationships with visa agents.
    • Prepare client’s document for visa interviews.

    HOTEL

    • Book hotels for clients.
    • Make payments for hotels.
    • Liaise with hotel aggregator and hotels as regards clients’ needs.
    • Sign up as club members with Hotel Chains.

    Requirements:

    • Must be educated to a degree level
    • Must have atleast 5 years experience in the tour and packages function.
    • Must be IATA certified, Global Distribution System (GDS) experience in atleast 2 of the 3 systems ( Saber, Amadeus, Galileo)
