    Administrative Officer

    Job Functions

    • Oversee and administer the day-to-day activities of the office; develops policies, procedures, and systems which ensure productive and efficient office operation.
    • Advise the Assistant Director and provide policy guidance and substantive inputs on administrative, legal, and human resource matters;
    • Lead administrative structuring of other offices to improve efficiency and support;
    • Oversee and maintain calendars and travel arrangements, provide logistical support to Office and respond to correspondences as requested, and handle day-to-day administrative problems and situations as they arise.
    • Oversee flow of office correspondence.
    • Ensure the timely processing of all administrative processes submitted to the unit for processing and ensure submissions to the Assistant Executive Director;
    • Undertake research and analysis on specific tasks as required, and prepare letters and/or reports.
    • Provide assistance in the understanding and interpretation of Neem Foundation’s policies and procedures, as appropriate, and strict compliance with Administration and Financial Reporting/Requirements in line with Neem Foundation’s policies and standards.
    • Support the achievement of programme objectives, including M&E, and maintain accurate and appropriate case documentation and records, and ensure the confidentiality of records/information.
    • Ensure the protection of programme and office assets.
    • Coordinate with the Foundational Procurement Focal Point all procurement processes; Ensure logistical/other support.
    • Ensuring a good system in place to keep good control of office and IT inventories.

    Qualifications, Skills, Experience
    Education:
    University Degree in any field. Masters Degree in Administration or Management is an added advantage.

    Description:

    Position Summary

    Nurse

    Description:

    Position Summary
    Nurses will plan and provide medical and nursing care to clients who are suffering from chronic or acute physical or mental ill health. As well as teaching proper health care towards clients. Nurses work as part of a multidisciplinary team of professional and medical staff that includes doctors, health visitors, social workers and therapists.

    Job Functions

    • Assessing and planning nursing care requirements
    • Monitoring and administering medication, injections and intravenous infusions treating wounds
    • Taking samples from patients and monitoring their pulse, temperature and blood pressure playing with children

    Programme Officer

    Description:
    The Programme officer will be responsible overseeing Neem Foundation’s Heroines’ of Peace initiate. He or She will continuously developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy as well as supporting the execution of the project. The Ideal candidate will be expected to engage with different stakeholders to facilitate outreach; and the execution of the project objectives. In addition, the candidate will play a central role in helping to adopt innovative approaches to communications, leveraging traditional and new media opportunities.

    Job Functions

    • Participates in the development and implementation of Neem Foundation’s Heroines of Peace Initiative
    • Monitors and analyzes the development and implementation of Action Plan
    • Reviews relevant documents and reports; identifies problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions; liaises with strategic partners
    • Create and edit video sequences combining raw footage, photography, audio & motion graphics packaging in-house and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Identifies and tracks follow-up actions and Performs engagement assignments, in Planning and facilitating workshops, webinars and other interactive sessions and engages
    • Assists in policy development, undertakes survey initiatives, including the review and analysis of issues and trends related to the project.
    • Prepares various written outputs, such as reports, background and policy papers, talking points, guidance and analytical notes.
    • Deliver strategic communications and engagement content for the Project
    • Asses and analyse the needs of persons of concern in the country in a participatory manner and using an Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) perspective to form a firm basis for planning.
    • Support in the development of strategies, methodologies, contingency plans that respond to new and emerging operational challenges.
    • Undertakes outreach and makes presentations on topics related to Women and peace building, including priority topics of Action Platforms.
    • Supports coordination of activities related to the execution of the project including programme strategy, annual activity reports, progress reports and assists in preparing related documents.

    Qualifications, Skills, Experience

    • University degree essential;
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English (native or near-native English speaker);
    • 2-4 years relevant experience in Communication, preferably with a background in journalism or undertaking media/public outreach on behalf of an (international) organization;
    • Solid work experience in and understanding of organizational branding and the development of communications strategies, online (new media) and direct communications, production of publications - such as short reports and public outreach stories, and photojournalism/info graphics;
    • Experience and interest in research communications is preferred, including the ability to communicate effectively with a policy audience and translate complex ideas into plain English;
    • Strong writing and editing skills for creating stories, and experience in proactively pitching timely stories and op-eds to a broader audience;
    • Highly collaborative approach, with strong interpersonal skills, able to cultivate and develop networks among members and other stakeholders;
    • Experience with multicultural team work;

    Centre Manager

    Description:

    Position Summary
    The centre manager position is a high level and sensitive position that will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Neem Borno centre including managing all staff and centre activities. Forming an essential component of the centre; he/she will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all of the centre’s activities/projects, and ensuring that it runs smoothly at all times according to plan.

    Job Functions

    • Applicants should be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and manage staff members.
    • Liaise regularly with Neem Foundation Headquarters on all project and related matters.
    • Take responsibility for the effective flow of information between Neem Foundation HQ and project team members.
    • Manages timetabling of the centre and its various activities,
    • Run, administer, and organize project activities.
    • Ensure the effective preparation and delivery of all project events and meetings.
    • Implement agreed action plan to high quality standards and within deadlines.
    • Evaluation of project activity and regular reporting on project progress to Neem HQ.

    Education Consultant

    Description:
    The Education consultant is expected to deliver periodic capacity building workshops on Neem Foundation’s Creative Education Curriculum. The consultant will also develop interactive and detailed training materials and all accompanying background material for the delivery of training workshops. After understanding the student requirements, the education consultant will undertake research to detect the areas that need improvement. He or she then implements necessary changes and ensures that the changes are effective. The education consultant may even engage in a variety of activities to maximize the productivity and ensure student success. The consultant is also expected to serve a serve as an advisor for teachers and school administrators; assess educational standards and classroom policies, so as to report on the effectiveness of the initiative; and devise strategies to improve educational quality.

    Job Functions

    • Improves and promotes social and intellectual welfare of the students by delivering periodic  trainings on the use of key components of the Creative Curriculum to educate children with no access to formal education
    • Develop a detailed Training Report/evaluation of the training and materials so as to gauge the impact of the workshop and improve future training.
    • Delivery of Continuous Training to project staff of Neem Foundation.
    • Development of Manual and Materials for Training on Creative Education.
    • Work with teachers and school administrators to assess areas for improvement in curricula, classrooms, teaching styles, textbooks, student activities and recommended resources including technology usage.
    • Integrate skill-building or social learning into the classroom to help with academic development.
    • Work directly with students that require extra learning assistance outside the classroom provide guidance to a school’s teaching faculty on curriculum, teaching styles and recommended resources and textbooks
    • Advising the administrative and teaching staff about the curriculum development and use of material and equipment
    • Plan and organize teacher training program that would deal with the new classroom procedures and teaching strategies
    • Carry out tests to measure the effectiveness of the curriculum and ensure that the program objectives are being met
    • Develop instructional materials that are to be used by instructors and educators

    Qualifications, Skills, Experience

    • Qualified with a degree in curriculum and instruction or education leadership ( Minimum a Masters Degree in Education, Teaching or  a specialized subject with a certificate in education)
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English (native or near-native English speaker);
    • Minimum 8  years or more relevant experience in Education;
    • Solid work experience in and understanding of Education
