Social Media Associates at Jumia Food

THE ROLE:

• The Social Media Associate at Jumia Food Nigeria will be fully responsible for all social media and CRM marketing (and will design simple creatives for such) and will also be responsible for the online and offline Brand Ambassadors. Their overall aim will be increasing Jumia Food’s brand awareness, in turn driving topline growth of the business.
• The Social Media Associate will be managed directly by the Head of Marketing, and will directly manage the online and offline Brand Ambassadors.
• They will work closely with the Account Management team to devise and implement marketing campaigns for partner restaurants across Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
• Social media and CRM:
• Monthly social media and CRM planning and reporting to NG Marketing Manager, Country Manager, Africa Marketing Manager and CEO
• Develop social media strategy and CRM campaigns (ie. newsletter, push notifications, SMS) and manage implementation
• Design creatives to use in social media and newsletter marketing
• Manage local public relations by creating and pushing content with the aim of increasing Jumia Food’s presence in the media
• Create and/or manage a potential food blog under the Jumia Food brand, engaging the younger generation of customers with interesting content
• Work with central teams on perfecting SEO and SEM, display strategy and implementation

Brand Ambassadors:
Create and implement direct sales programs, as well as sourcing and managing offline brand ambassadors at food-related events

Background and technical skills:

• Top performer academically
• Relevant marketing and/or sales work experience - either in a professional or entrepreneurial context
• Knowledge of online marketing (SEO, SEM, GDN, CRM) and offline marketing (BTL, ATL) channels
• Local market knowledge of Nigeria (Lagos primarily)
• Highly proficient with MS Office, in particular Excel
• Design skills mandatory
• Superior written communication skills
