Job Description

• Reporting to the SGM Finance, Analyst, Financial Reporting and Control will support the systems, processes, accounting policies and procedures, and reporting matters to ensure the on time and accurate financial reporting of the organization’s financial information.
• You will work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare and deliver all major financial reports for the company and its’ subsidiaries.
• You will also work with external auditors to facilitate the review of quarterly and annual external audit activities. In addition, you will support the implementation and oversight of the processes to capture P&L and Balance Sheet transactions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for running a smooth month end process for the DCP Nigeria organization while working with the teams at various operating locations within the Nigerian organization as well as the African subsidiaries
• Producing the monthly reporting packages using SAP and BPC
• Assistance with the preparation of Group financial reporting deliverables, including preparing consolidation journals, preparing financial disclosures and accounting papers
• Assistance with the day-to-day execution of the financial reporting and accounting function, including management of activities to support annual and quarterly external audits and reviews
• Supporting ad hoc projects impacting financial reporting
• Liaison with internal and external auditors and provide relevant information when required
• Timely preparation and ownership of reporting, consolidation and forecasting preparation processes

Key Requirements

• Bachelor degree/ Higher Educational Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business related courses
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAN)
• 4+ years’ experience in finance with a focus in external reporting for manufacturing organizations. FMCG Sectors will be an advantage
• 2+ years progressive supervisory/leadership experience
• Big 4 training or exposure will be an advantage
• Understands IFRS and public company regulatory reporting/filing requirements

Job Description

• Process payments, fund transfers and journal postings of internal and external vendor invoices
• Categorize payments and transactions into Capex and Opex and ensure accurate reporting in the financial systems, including correct treatment of VAT, WHT and other applicable taxes
• Support the improvement of departmental performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies in various transaction and payment process metrics
• Supporting the Reporting and Control functions with in-depth transactional analysis
• Prepare presentations to Functional Heads and Senior Management Team
• Supporting ad hoc projects impacting transaction and payment process enhancements
• Liaison with internal and external auditors and provide relevant information when required
• Timely preparation and ownership of reporting, consolidation and forecasting preparation processes

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor degree/ Higher educational diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business related courses
• Recognized accounting qualification will be advantageous (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CIMA etc.)
• MBA will also be advantageous
• 3+ years’ experience in finance with a focus in transactional accounting, planning, analysis and management reporting for manufacturing organizations. FMCG Sectors will be an advantage
• 1+ years progressive supervisory/leadership experience
