    Job Summary:
    Overall responsibility for the developing, designing and creating of design solutions that inspire, inform or captivate, to address the visual branding needs of the clients projects and brand Livespot.
    Managing the production and use of different types of visuals across different platforms (still graphics, animation, video, etc.), matching selectively and adopting the most appropriate technology, software and techniques at all times.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Meeting with clients (including brand Livespot) to determine the scope of their projects and advising them on optimal strategies and tactics to reach particular/target audiences; responding to their visual requirements from typesetting through to design, print, production and digital production.
    • Developing the ‘visual brand’ and design concepts to deliver the objectives of each project, within the constraints of cost and time.
    • This involves contributing new ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;
    • demonstrating new ideas with rough sketches; preparing layouts or mock-ups using illustration, text, photography, colour and computer generated imagery, either by hand or using computer software; editing and re-presenting ideas, from conception to approval.
    • It also involves organising and/or overseeing the conversion of existing ideas or designs to print (e.g. banners, posters, brochures or web-based media) and / or digital production.
      Creating the art and designs for a huge variety of marketing and creative activities (for instance online marketing, websites, advertising, logos, product illustrations, banners / posters, flyers, tickets, event programme, brochures, infographics, memes), that are consistent with the agreed conceptual approach, engage the target audience whilst reflecting the values of the clients’ organisations and brands.
      Reviewing and proof reading designs for errors to produce accurate and high-quality work before sending them to clients for approval or to print for publication.
    • Managing and controlling the graphics and design – including printing - budget.
    • Attending project meetings and providing reports on the design and graphics status. Commissioning illustrators, photographers, printers and copywriters as required.
    • Producing layouts, pages and design ready for print, and liaising with printers.
    • Filing and logging all graphic materials for easy access, and, archiving post-event.
    • Organising the delivery of printed materials and other graphics and the efficient positioning and application of posters, signage; the timely upload of digital, etc.
      Applying knowledge of latest web technologies, techniques and industry trends to understanding their role within a commercial and creative environment.
    • Constantly communicating with all stakeholders to keep them updated, including attending meetings and preparing regular reports for the management team. Direct line managing direct report/s as they handle the day-to-day graphics design functions for the company and its clients respectively.
    • Providing leadership, motivation, direction, support and training to direct reports.
    • Undertaking any necessary duties to ensure a first class service is provided at all times.

    Qualifications, Competencies & Skills Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Fine Art, or minimum five years’ experience of professional commercial design, brand marketing or graphics, preferably within a marketing or creative agency.
    • A Masters in Graphic Design would be an advantage.
    • Experienced Microsoft Office user, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Competent Internet, email and Google applications user.
    • Extensive experience of design, 3D design and photo-editing software, for instance the Adobe design application suite, Corel Draw, Director, Freehand, Illustrator, InDesign, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Director.
    • Excellent knowledge of CSS3, HTML, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, Flash and WordPress templates.
    • Proven track record of creating mock-ups, web design and multimedia presentations.
    • Sound knowledge of the creative, marketing, experiential and entertainment industries in Nigeria.

    • Great at staying calm and diplomatic and performing well under intense pressure from competing priorities, unpredictable requests and interruptions.
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a professional manner and approach.
    • Keenly interested in the creative, marketing, experiential and entertainment industries in Nigeria.

    Location:

    Lagos, Nigeria, plus other locations as required.
    Working Hours:
    08.30 to 17.00 Mondays to Fridays.
