Job Description

• Work with other software developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualising and developing new software solutions and applications
• Plan phases of the software development life cycle for a variety of projects
• Prepare & document software requirements and specifications
• Perform research on the requirements of software users and document findings
• Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades
• Write, translate, and code software programmes and applications according to specifications and standards
• Liaise with the Risk & Quality Management and Strategy & Innovation to ensure quality and timely software development within his/her responsibilities
• Prepare and write reports to functional head on the status of the programming process
• Engage with Product Innovation, Sales and Research & Analytics to craft and develop innovative products and solutions that anticipate or respond to market and customer generated insights
• Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines for ease of use by the client/customers
• Provide training to Sales team on features and usage of the solution/application developed
• Assist sales and marketing in making demo presentations to prospective clients, customers and channel partners on the use of solutions and applications
• Provide assistance to end users on software deployed
• Install software products for end users as required
• Manage and/or provide guidance to less experienced team members
• Develop and manage key relationships with relevant external bodies / contacts in order to facilitate effective business operations.

Educational Qualification:

• Degree or HND (Second Class Upper or Upper Credit may be at advantage) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
