Responsibilities:
Are to ensure the IT/Data Center operations are on a very high standard and ensuring 100% availability, reliability and maintainability of all production systems.
Storage systems administration and technical Support, and responsible for maintaining and ensuring high integrity data, and data disaster recovery.
Provide first hand production support for all enterprise NetApp storages and Unix servers (E25K, F6800, F6500, V880, etc.).
Supporting implementation of the bank’s Production platform and storage framework.
Establish and Maintain seamless support to DBAs and Application Developers as regarding platform and storage requirement for availability and performance.
Provide smart hand support as required to all other production related systems in the datacenter. (E.g.: Cognos server, Mantas, Mail and Exchange, DPM, etc.)
Provide first level support to critical systems infrastructure equipment (e.g.: UPS, HVAC, etc.).
Ensure daily flexcube database tape backup and restoration of database on the test environment for UAT.
Symantec Veritas Cluster (SVC) and Storage Volume Manager (SVM) administration.
Liaising and working with vendors in resolving technical issues and support.
Responsible for backup ancillary applications and databases.
Coordinate testing, upgrade and configuration of system files and services, and ensure changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures.
Implement and Maintain System security policy and controls (Creating and maintaining of users privileges).
Participating and Contribution to formulation of IT Policy and Strategic Plan in area of production system, storages and backup equipment administration.
Establish and administer data backup and recovery policies and procedures.
Conduct Systems Performance Monitoring/Turning and Capacity Monitoring planning for future storage requirements of the databases.
Proactively monitoring system performance and availability during the business hours.
Perform other duties as requested by the Senior Infrastructure Manager/Datacenter Lead
Requirements:
At least 3 years working experience in unix-solaris, storage and backup administration
Good grade (1st or 2nd Class Upper) of University degree or HND with post graduate result in Computer Engineering or related courses;

Expert knowledge of Oracle-Solaris Administration
Expert Knowledge of Oracle-linux Administration
Expert knowledge os NetApp Storage Administration.
Adequate Knowledge of Backup Administration using NetBackup, Comvault and other third party software.

Knowledge of Oracle Database
Technical skill in administer Datacenter infrastructures.

Responsibilities:
Design, implementation and maintenance of the power backup infrastructure of the Bank
Participates in planning, engineering, and designing the infrastructure of the Bank
Ensure the configuration of SNMP on UPS and Inverters for effective monitoring by Solar Wind
Ensure UPS and inverter management bankwide
Recommend and Supervise the deployment and installation of inverters and UPS bankwide
Supervise the regional Vendors on power backup
Responsible for the Clean power cabling bankwide
Keep the inventory of UPS, Inverters and AVR bankwide
Ensure quarterly preventive maintenance, services and (or) repairs of Power backup equipment
Liaise with vendors to sustain the SLA the bank has with them
Provide First level support and repair for bankwide power backup infrastructure
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Infrastructure Manager
Prepare documents to put tenders out for Contractors
Project Management and supervising and coordinating work of contractors
Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
Provide manuals for the effective handling of backup power equipment
Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of
nature and user abuse
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 - 7 years cognate Engineering or IT experience in a medium to large size bank/ financial institution
Good technology related university degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or Numeric Science; Certifications on Power related disciplines

Co-ordinates and Manages IT activities in the region.
Responsible for the Management of Network and the Installation, Configuration, Repair, Distribution and Maintenance of the systems in the region.

Liaises with branches in the region to prioritize issues and their resolutions.
Ensures efficient allocation and distribution of IT resources in the region.
