    Subsea Installation Engineer (SURF)

    Responsibilities:

    During Basic engineering stage

    • To review ENGINEER documentation related to pipe laying activities, offshore structure installation, ensuring
    • contractor documents include company requirements.
    • To be involved in CFT for all what concerns offshore installation: review of tender documents, review of tenders,
    • clarification with tenderers and evaluation of tenders.
    • To be involved in tenderer pre-qualification and yard/vessel audits and surveys.
    • To liaise with HQ specialists.

    During EPCI stage (he/she shall be part of the team following up EPCI execution)

    • To review CONTRACTOR detailed engineering documentation and ensure compliance with specifications.
    • To reply to Technical Queries.
    • To participate in studies of installation procedures; to review the contractor's pipeline/sealine, risers/subsea,
    • platform installation procedure.
    • To follow-up and supervise pipe manufacturing activities ensuring that company requirements are fulfilled prior
    • to start of manufacturing.
    • To perform inspections and acceptance tests, witness laboratory testing as requested for pipeline materials, in
    • accordance with the approved inspection & test plan (ITP).
    • To assist in coordinating offshore activities for all surveys, crossings preparation and installation, pipeline and
    • structure installation campaigns, subsea campaigns, cable laying, diving works and pre-commissioning
    • activities.
    • To manage the contractor in the execution of the worksites fabrication (spools, risers, riser guards, spreader
    • bars etc.), pipeline coating works and load outs.
    • To ensure that contractor HSE practices are acceptable and that proper measures and procedures are being
    • implemented by everyone concerned.
    • To ensure that the as-built documentation is properly prepared and handed over to the company.
    • To follow specific studies related to the scope of work.
    • To identify deviations and propose corrective actions.
    • To liaise with HQ specialists.

    Required skills & experience:
    Strong experience within Subsea Installation Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
