    Operations Director

    Location(s): Northern Region, Nigeria
    Employment Type: Permanent

    Job Description

    • The Operations’ Director is to set up and manage a team of Managers, Engineers and Technicians handling passive network infrastructure (Power and Passive infrastructure) Operation & Maintenance activities to meet availability targets and within customer processes and controls.
    • To assist the roll out team in passive infrastructure integration procedure (Passive network elements acceptance).

    Responsibilities
    The Operations Director will primarily be responsible for the following:


    1.) Regional Operations & Maintenance Administration:
    • The day to day management of all regional network operations and maintenance
    • Management of SLA with passive infrastructure partners to deliver optimal availability and QoS
    • Provide administrative and logistic support to HQ planning and roll out teams
    • Work order and configuration management support
    • Responsible for spares CAPEX requisition, tracking approvals and ensuring issuance of spares purchase orders to the OEMs
    2.) Instituting Optimal Operational Processes and Practices to Achieve Set Operational KPIs:
    • Responsible for proactive planing and scheduling of preventive maintenance
    • Ensuring that all corrective maintenance activities are carried out within acceptable MTTR targets
    • Ensure that spares are adequately dimensioned and are readily available at designated outlets
    • Drive end to end process documentation, implementation and compliance to processes
    3.) Cost Control:
    • Responsible for regional OPEX scheduling and budgeting
    • Responsible for approving and tracking regional OPEX spend
    • Ensuring OPEX is spent efficiently and within Budget
    • Provide regional OPEX reports
    4.) Optimal Resource Management:
    • Assist in recruiting and coaching
    • Skill gap analysis and providing staff development programs
    • Communicating and ensuring job expectations
    • Enforcing Company policies and procedure
    • Conflict resolution
    • Staff appraisal management
    5.) Provide reports and Dashboards to Evaluate and Benchmark Departmental and Regional Performance:

    Requirements

    Experience:
    • Good background in the telecommunication industry with at least 20 years experience preferably in the Field Operation or Support capacity and construction standards.
    Knowledge:
    • Good background in GSM Network, Gen set and Solar Infrastructure maintenance, high level Telco operations, and people management
    Skills:
    • Generic: Analytical skills to help isolate troubles, good written and verbal communications, and good customer contact skills
    • Job Specific: Enforcement of high level of discipline. Work under high pressure. Telco operations management, Project Management and Vendor management skills.
    • Other Requirements: 4 "E's" individual - Energetic, Energizing others, Edge to make decisions, Execute decisions

    Senior Diesel Logistics Manager

    Job Description

    • In view of continuing growth, we are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Diesel Logistics Manager to join our team to effectively support the operations function of the organization to optimize productivity, profitability and client satisfaction and also ensure the effective functioning of the diesel management processes and activities by using best business practices to manage resources to meet the needs of the company.
    • The role will be centered in Lagos at our head office in Lekki Phase One but will also manage teams and support maintenance operations across the country.

    Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Managing and Improving processes and procedures used to manage diesel requirements at sites
    • Managing diesel requests and supervising monthly volume requests and sites allocations
    • Following up and monitoring diesel purchase activity and ensuring that diesel is purchased at market acceptable price
    • Managing and controlling peddlers’ movement and programming to achieve best utilization of owned peddlers
    • Monitoring diesel distribution to sites and ensuring that fraud is closely checked
    • Managing database updates and generating client and management reports
    • Managing talent to achieve the above stated responsibilities

    Requirements

    • First Degree in related course
    • Minimum of 8 years’ working experience in Diesel Supply Chain Management or in a related field
    • Experience in warehousing, logistics or supply chain management
    • GMP/SMP Training
    • Certification in Process Management
    • Advanced Excel Skills is a must have
    • PMP will be an added advantage
    • Diplomacy and integrity
    • Team working skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and work with tight deadlines
    • Ability to adapt to changing needs under short time notifications
    • Attention to details and excellent numeracy
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Office skills
